If the nfl dropped prices they would sellout every game. They do not have to drop them much. Just maybe 10-15%. But when you want 2 see a game and take your kid and wife a 60+ per ticket cost plus food and travel gets prohibitive for most people. God forbid you want good seats and then it doubles the cost of the trip.

that's why it takes y'all an hour to go 6 miles in an Uber.

Haha well it was an hour including the wait for an Uber. But I wish it was just football games. Traffic down here is a mess. Easily the worst traffic I’ve had to drive in.

But back to the point. Fans can leave whenever they want. Some people are going to care more about traffic than watching the whole football game. That’s fine, but those fans shouldn’t be upset when people make comments like Vrabel’s.

Well I can’t speak in matter of facts but I can rely on my experiences in other stadiums. I can tell you with 100% certainty that there were a TON more Texans fans left in the stands when they beat us 57-14 than Titans fans left in the stands when we beat the Jags 42-20.

Leaving a game early when we are dominating and then saying you don’t go to games because we don’t win in nonsensical. Makes zero sense.
Sorry, bro. I don't get your logic.

In order to leave a game early, you gotta be there. Obviously, won/loss record has no bearing on the fans in attendance who have gotten their fill and just want a head start home.

Not winning is why the people at home didn't buy a ticket.

The logic is commitment TJ. It’s not about just buying a ticket. Clearly there aren’t enough fans committed to going to a Titans game every week. We can’t even get fans to commit to a full game WHEN WE ARE WINNING. That’s the logic.

I ran into KC fans after that game and they said Titans fans were leaving early for that game too. I can’t verify that but it wouldn’t shock me from what I’ve seen.

Look this isn’t an indictment on all Titans fans. There are plenty of people this doesn’t apply to. But people wanna complain about win loss record and fan environment but they’d rather leave early to avoid traffic? Ridiculous.

Every NFL stadium is going to have a lot of traffic when you leave. Plenty of fans don’t leave early. I’ve seen it! That’s simply an excuse. Plenty of franchises have had it much worse than TN and don’t have this problem. Not buying it one bit.

The average fan would rather go to a few games a year and cut out early to beat traffic. That’s fine, but that fan should not be complaining about the fan environment or win loss record. Titans have actually played well at home in recent years and maybe the fan environment would improve if everyone didn’t leave half way through the game.

Most of the people on here this doesn’t apply to but when I go to other stadiums I don’t see this same stuff happening. The Titans clearly made some mistakes in how they handled things but the fans can’t just push all the blame on the team. There’s a commitment level from the fans that has to be there as well.

Bills fans show up every single Sunday regardless of opponent. You think they’ve had much to cheer about the last 10-15 years? Nope. But their commitment level is clearly different than SOME of the people in Nashville.

Every time I attend a game at Nissan Stadium I'm disappointed to see so many opposing fans in the stadium. It's noticeabley worse (much worse) than other stadiums I've been to. I can't blame coach for being disappointing by it too. Interesting he chose to say it though.

What Vrabel is saying is he would like to see more hometown support. We haven't had that hometown advantage since 96-97, when teams were hating to come to Nashville. Me and my brother went to the home opener against the Colts and we all know how big that game was. Eddie and Steve were having their numbers retired that day. And I tell you......you would think that that stadium would be loud as hell the whole game but it wasn't. At times it was but nothing like back in the LP Field days.

Their is just not the same energy from the fans that are there. It's not so much about showing up but shutting up and drowning out the visiting fans. That's what he's talking about. I'm not saying you're not a fan if you don't attend games. But me personally, I leave the game hoarse, I yell when we're on defense and cheer on offense. Vrabel just wants more from the fans the same way we want more from our team.
Not ssying your wring but vrable was 4 and 4 at home. When he rolls off 13 in a row he will have a right to complain

A little off on your timeline my dude.
96 was the last year in Houston.

97-98 were the “lost oilers” years roaming while waiting for a Nashville stadium (also Jeff Fisher specials of 8-8)

99’ titans named and in their new Rockin Nashville Coliseum.

Yep

I went to the games in Memphis and Vanderbilt
Man, if only then you knew how valuable our kickers would be for the next 15+ years.

I should have the entire collection of Kicker jerseys through the FG fisher era.

I underestimated his love for FG and wanting to win every game 15-13.

You're right, thanks for correcting me. I was a few years removed from Nashville during that time. I was living in Indianapolis when they were playing in Memphis.

That is a good point but I didn't get that vibe as him complaining but more like dont let visiting fans walk into our stadium and make it theirs. How many times have we heard commentators say "it sounds like a Bill's home game" or the Colts. That s### was embarrassing lol

Didn't get to any of the final few home games this season, eh?
Uhhh... yes. I was at the Jags game last.

If you're trying to argue for our atmosphere and pretend it's not massive takeovers by other fans, you're fooling yourself.

And people still only stand/make noise on 3rd downs. It's weak AF. Especially compared to what it once was.

So stop. Don't be that guy. It's like a Wimbledon match 3/4 of the game.

Though- I guess the last couple games would make sense.

Texans wouldnt travel to see their backups. Jags were dead.

So... yay?

That's what I've been trying to tell these guys.

Fire Vrabel. Our fans are some of the most passionate and come from all over the world to see the Titans. Maybe he should try interacting with some of the fans before he judges. Just threw like $600 to be able to attend this game and this dude gonna act like that? Disappointed

psst! he wasn’t talking about you.

if i were you, i’d be pissed at the other “fans” not showing up too. its a lot more fun watching in a rocking stadium all pulling fir the home team,

It wasn't that he loved kickers....he wanted to win "genius" style rather than blow teams out when he could. I specifically remember a game vs the Giants....the Tits totally dominated them in all phases of the game....yet the final score was something like 28-14 or some such and it wasn't until the last minute that the game was really over. Typical fisher.

I'll say this and depart the issue as we have bigger fish to fry this Saturday.

Isn't the boost the team receives from fans the cheering that get them UP and stay UP during the game to help them play better and WIN?

Once the outcome of the game is no longer in doubt, that no longer is needed. I doubt Vrabel gives a rat's arse fans leave early once the game is decided.

If you're the type of fan who likes to savor a beatdown (and I am), I hang around until the end. But I take no issue with those who choose to leave for whatever reason.
