Uhhh... yes. I was at the Jags game last.

If you're trying to argue for our atmosphere and pretend it's not massive takeovers by other fans, you're fooling yourself.
If you want to point out examples of opposing fans taking over Nissan Stadium, using the Jags game isn't a good example.

And people still only stand/make noise on 3rd downs. It's weak AF. Especially compared to what it once was.
All I am saying is that no one sat down in my section for most of the Texans and Saints game. Call it "1999 Lite" if you want but, as a fan who has missed only a handful of games in 25 years, it felt different.

I'll say this and depart the issue as we have bigger fish to fry this Saturday.

Isn't the boost the team receives from fans the cheering that get them UP and stay UP during the game to help them play better and WIN?

Once the outcome of the game is no longer in doubt, that no longer is needed. I doubt Vrabel gives a rat's arse fans leave early once the game is decided.

If you're the type of fan who likes to savor a beatdown (and I am), I hang around until the end. But I take no issue with those who choose to leave for whatever reason.

The point I’m trying to make isn’t that if fans stayed longer we’d win more games. The point I’m trying to make is it’s the mentality that a number of fans have in Nashville is the root of the “too many visitor fans” at the game.

Yes Titans franchise has made some poor decisions that have also contributed to it. But if you can’t even get fans to commit to watching the entire game when we are winning how in the hell are you supposed to expect them to show up every single home game? Of course visiting fans are going to overrun the stadium because Titans fans leave halfway through the 4th quarter anyway. It’s a mentality problem it seems.

Basically it boils down to this. You can’t get fans to commit to one ENTIRE game. How are you going to make them commit to 8? Sure Titans can do a better job of certain things but Nashville residents have to absorb some of the blame for the issue as well (again this doesn’t apply to probably anyone on this board. This is the average Titans fan).

The 2 reasons people claim more fans don’t go to games are 1) Titans don’t win enough home games and 2) fan experience sucks.

Titans over the last 4 years are 21-11 at home. 65% win percentage.

The fan experience sucks because fans leave before the game is over.

Again I don’t live in Nashville so maybe I’m way off but having to been to games there and other cities it just seems different.

That is a good point but I didn't get that vibe as him complaining but more like dont let visiting fans walk into our stadium and make it theirs. How many times have we heard commentators say "it sounds like a Bill's home game" or the Colts. That s### was embarrassing lol
well give the Titans fans SOMETHING to cheer for... there was nothing to cheer for in the Bills game - and that is the truth

were you there?

no

I was... zero fun for the good guys that day. Bills fans had plenty to cheer for and about.

was actually painful to be at that game

Texans fans wouldnt travel to their own stadium?

am I still drunk or something?
DW confused as usual...

cows played to Win in Nashvegas Titans played puckered butthole style for the home crowd with the division & home PO game on the line

What Vrabel is saying is he would like to see more hometown support. We haven't had that hometown advantage since 96-97, when teams were hating to come to Nashville. Me and my brother went to the home opener against the Colts and we all know how big that game was. Eddie and Steve were having their numbers retired that day. And I tell you......you would think that that stadium would be loud as hell the whole game but it wasn't. At times it was but nothing like back in the LP Field days.

Their is just not the same energy from the fans that are there. It's not so much about showing up but shutting up and drowning out the visiting fans. That's what he's talking about. I'm not saying you're not a fan if you don't attend games. But me personally, I leave the game hoarse, I yell when we're on defense and cheer on offense. Vrabel just wants more from the fans the same way we want more from our team.

I’ve been growing to hom

And that’s the chit that kills the fanaticism. That and way overpriced tix and concessions. Falcons have that part right.

Missing the point.

The Jags DIDNT travel/take over.... and our fans still were meek. That's the point.

But ok.

Fans at games say it. Our own coach says it. Our players say it.

But sure... you're right. Our stadium has no issues with home fans at all. lol

DW confused as usual...

See above, oh delusioned one...

Better yet- visit another team and see the extreme contrast.

I know you likely can't remember what Adelphia was like. Night/Day to this weak sh.

GoT one of the old people asking folks to "sit down and be quiet" but taking up for our fans lol
not in the least.... I am annoyed that visiting fans have so much to cheer for though...

quite annoying.

I am also amused by fans that are emotionally attached to the exhibition games... that crap cracks me up. exactly nobody but them cares about the score... well them and Vegas

just put this in the ginormous colum of shyt you are ignorant about.. like politics and maths

Actually it is usually everyone around asking GoT to be quite....damn, are you ever right about anything in your miserable life? Those links tho?

But sure... you're right. Our stadium has no issues with home fans at all. lol
How many home games did you get out to this season? If not every home game, you're part of the problem.

All I've said from the start is that the Titans organization is much to blame for the current situation and that, as soon as the team began playing a more exciting brand football this season, fans (at least around me) have been much more into the games.

While I agree the Titans organization could do more, it still doesn't change the lack of energy in the stadium. Part of being a fan is you take the good with the bad.

We’ve experienced a lot more bad than good. I think 9-7 isn’t really the “good” that brings the energy especially if that’s really the best they’ve done in over a decade.

That is the point Vrabel was trying to make.
BS. Read what the man said:

“I would imagine we’re the underdogs every week, that’s kind of… I mean, you go to our games, there’s 20,000 of the other team’s fans.”

I saw a handful of Jags fans at that game. Clearly, what Vrabel is talking about were the Bills, Chiefs and Saints games.

The cost for a good seat at a game costs as much as an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription and that’s crazy when you think about that. Plus the 12 pack for one beer prices they charge in the stadium and the outrageous parking fees. Makes sense for those that stay home. But no matter what, if titans are close to where I am I’ll go!
