I think it was the 20/20 hindsight comment. I may have misunderstood that you were suggesting now railing the Dodd pick (over Jack/Fowler) in hindsight rather than at the time of the pick.

I don’t condone what he did but he was punished for it and something he’s going to have to live with everyday. He paid his dues. Does being young excuse it ? No but I certainly wouldn’t want an incident that I did when I was 18 or whatever to define me. He’s clearly taken the proper steps since to become a better person which is the most important thing. I’m a firm believer in second chances, we’ve all made mistakes when we were young, I sure as hell have. It’s what you do with it that matters and from what’s being reported he’s gone above and beyond on and off the field.

I agree with this. Ideally, though, we would have liked to trade down a few picks and still get him but that requires a willing trade partner and nobody else grabbing him before us. So with those conditionals, I’m OK with this pick and the absence of definite production for 2019. BTW- I think it is unwise to rush this guy back at all this year. Maybe dress him the last game or two with a 5 snap limit per game just to give him a taste of NFL speed and what type of further off season conditioning will be required to be proficient in the NFL.

That was just one part of it. I am not going to go into it because some people got that part of the forum taken away. It goes way beyond simply supporting a specific politician.

I looked into him when I heard that we interested, and was surprised with how much that I liked him. Vrabel has a good BS meter as well and looked like he was ready to punch out someone himself in order to defend Simmons' character

I probably dont know all of what Bosa tweeted but what I did see was him saying some not so flattering things about Beyonce and a comic book movie...
Thats waaaay less worse than striking a lady whos already toppled over.
Im not trying to trash Simmons, but these are not two equal things he and Bosa pulled.
Bosa's thing is barely worth anyones attention. Not the kind of thing to talk up during a draft pick.

All of you that are mad he can't play right away need to take a step back and realize the future is more important than the now. I learned that from the Lewan pick. I HATED that pick when we made it, because we had two starting OTs at the time, but now he's my favorite Titan. It has worked out beautifully.
I'm a Mississippi State fan and I have probably watched Simmons more than most on this board, and let me tell you this guy is a MONSTER. He's a top 5 talent and I saw a tweet that said some teams thought when healthy he was better than Quinnen Williams. One analyst called him the best player in the draft. That's the type of player we're getting. Will we have to wait on him? Yes. But you know what they say about those who wait.

I don’t want to believe it but I just read with this injury he won’t be hundred percent till the 2021 season . I hope their projections are off but whatever , I’m gonna treat it like we didn’t have a pick , draft starts today.

Look for Robinson to move back from 51 to make up for not having Simmons available this yr.
