This line of thinking is crazy to me. I've turned down and taken jobs before purely because of the money. No one has ever given me shit for it, even the people I turned down. But when pro athletes do the same thing, people all the sudden act like they have some moral obligation to be motivated by nonsense.

Again, it would be different if he's planning on pulling a Haynesworth and not fulfilling his end of the contract. But the dude has lived up to every contract he's ever gotten which is why he's still getting such good money.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be taking the money but you would think at this point try to get a ring...he's made what? 140 million so far?

For average Joe's like me, yes I'm taking jobs for more money, but if I had 140 million of earnings...other factors would come into play. To each their own, whatever drives him I suppose.

Suh doesn't seem to have much of a chip on his shoulder. He's just looking for quality of life at this point.

Maybe

if you just count the games he played at home he was taxed around $2M

In Tampa those same 8 home games are tax free

so he would need to sign a $12M deal to make the same money

My wife has to calculate her taxes for 2 days of each week that she works from home... different county entirely, different taxes.

How is the pay when the team plays in England?
