I’ve never seen someone protected so much. It’s amazing. I want the life of Marcus Mariota. Play average, miss some games, have a few cool highlights here and there, and never be held accountable after half a decade. Sign me up!

All jokes aside, if you watch that interception reel...It’s hilarious at times. Lolliota.....

And the Mariota led Titans already beat Wentz when they were still contenders. Your point?

You're supposed to get a QB to elevate your team. I'm not scared of Wentz and the Eagles. Or Brady and the Pats honestly.
But watch out buffalo and Baltimore. And the titans definitely have some demons to get rid of against Indy.

Those people will trash the receivers after watching the drops reel , but have nothing to say about his INT reel other than "All QBs look bad while throwing INTs". He had nearly as many INTs in 17 as we had drops in 18. That's awful

And they weren’t your average interceptions. Some were downright godawful...like stared right at a defender 5-10 yards out and completely threw it right to them bad.

I'm hoping this was a joke.

Honestly Baltimore is a good team that has kept a good defense every year and now they have some offensive weapons and a dynamic QB. I expect them to be good again this year.

Goes to show you don't need a QB to put up crazy stats to win football games. I actually think they have a good formula right now if Jackson stays healthy.

How exactly do you know that as fact? As in, Mariota didn't know the play but the receiver did. In ALL of your football experience, how often has that been the case? In college, who is the one always with the OC going over concepts and the plays? If Mariota didn't know the playbook, why didn't ANYbody mention that ever?

And as far as your last sentence, what type of "stat" is that to show anything? Are you saying there were a lot of drops in 18, or a lot of INT's in 17? Or do you even know what you're saying?

It was a joke like the large majority of your posts (or at least that’s how I take them). The point was you put Mariota on a pedestal because he was QB for the Philly game and NE game but he was also the QB for the Buffalo game and that massacre against Baltimore.

Jackson is trash and will show that this year. A large reason why many think Cleveland takes the division.
I never said a QB has to throw up monster stats to win games. That was all you’re assumption without reading many of my posts. My point of stats was towards the amount he should be paid for what he does. If he isn’t putting up larger stats than he has, then he should be paid accordingly as in like a lower tier starting QB.

I've noticed you and the trolls avoid direct debate, while acting like you're debating and not trolling.

You and JWill seem to start off each post with a number of fallacies, then set up your opponent (in this case those who think Mariota could be our franchise guy) to your liking, then attack the straw man.

You must be of a lesser soul

how about kirk cousins with the vikings? how about glennon when he went to the bears (pre trubisky)? how about case keenum when he went to the broncos?

just stop... they do exist... you are making yourself look stupid.

im sure youll have some idiotic reason why those dont count though.

I just want to state for the record that you put Mariota in the same tier as bortles, Glennon, an cousins, all of whole more or less suck. Just saying.

he's in a prove it year, they were in prove it years

they flopped but that doesnt mean mariota will

hindsight is 20/20

I think we can remove Cousins from this list as he threw for 29,25 and 27 TDs the 3 yrs previous to signing his huge guaranteed contract with the Vikings in which he tossed 30 TDs. He’s the model of consistency.

Mariota tier should be Keenum, Glennon, Bortles, Colin Kaepernick and Alex Smith as a 9er.

no... wentz got 4 years 128mil, which is like 32mil per season. in total for the 6 years he gets something like 156mil (they didnt change the remaining 2 rookie years on his deal at all)

if mariota got 110mil I think we would assume it would be across 5 years, averaging something like 22mil per season (this seems low and i doubt he would agree to it, he'd probably rather do a smaller deal and bet on himself)

the extra year makes all the difference here. 110mil across 5 isnt that crazy and is actually extremely low for starting qb money.

if we did 5 years, it would probably be a team option for the 5th that bulks up to 25-28mil. but 110 doesnt hurt us at all.

i understand you don't like Marcus, but kirk cousins blows. idc what stats he puts up. I have yet to even meet a Vikings fan who likes him. He's never won a big game in his NFL Career and he has plenty of talent around him in Minn.

I don’t like cousins either, but my point was that he’s put together a very consistent body of work the last 4 years with minimal talent in Washington and a new squad in Minny.

We’d all be ecstatic if we got the same production from Mary.

If we got that production from Mariota, we would be SB contenders!
