We were #7 in rushing offense and they were #10. Learn to think and speak with your head instead of your ass.
AND WE DIDNT HAVE A RUSHING ATTACK UNTIL LIKE WEEK 14. we racked up basically all our yards when henry started going crazy.

stats dont tell the whole story and you absolutely know that.
stop being so fucking disingenuous all the time ffs

We racked up all of our 2,000 rushing yards in 4 weeks?

No... but we racked up over 670 of those rushing yards in the final four games.
didnt have a 100 yard rusher til week 14.... and still henry only had 2 games with 100+... but yeah we were totally a top 10 running team...
:biglaugh:
give me a break

abc loves stats... when it benefits him

I don't understand what the RB has to do with his production. Matiota has never been a QB to move the ball between the 20s. He was just really good at putting it in the end zone the first two years after the offense got the ball to that point. His attempts in the red zone didn't go down during his last two seasons, but his TDs decreased dramatically. The running game isn't the reason for that. He is.

mariota's best play type is the play action and when the run game doesnt work, neither does the play action. pretty simple. basic football stuff.

obviously there were a lot of factors but to pretend no run game was a non-factor is just stupid and disingenuous... which you seem to be good at.

They had the #2 rushing offense in 16 and we were #3. We actually had a better rushing offense than them this year. Give it up. Dak is better.

Zeke adds an elite imension to the passing game that Henry/Lewis dont as well ... cant base his impact off of purely rush yards.

Do you really think Defenses key on Lewis the way they do on Zeke? Yeah ... even when he is t getting the ball, his presence opens up the pass game.

Hopefully Ds will start to respect Henry more and will open up the pass

Mariota had the top QB rating in the league from PA in 2017...

Maybe you'll eventually realize that there is a rebuttal for every excuse that you try to make for him

yes he did... thats why i said PA was his best play type. not sure what the point of this post was, other than to try to be snarky. thanks for agreeing.

What are you talking about? Defenses have stacked the box against us for years.

And Zeke isn't an elite pass catcher. He's a complete back and he's an asset in this area, but he's not used anything like Bell or any other RBs with that skillset

If we had Zeke the past 2 years, Mariota would be throwing the ball 10x a game if he were lucky.

he had 77 receptions last year for nearly 600 yards.
by comparison... leveons last season he had 85 receptions and about 650 yards.

zeke is an elite pass catcher when utilized

He threw for 2,500 yards. Don't make him out to sound like Drew Brees

NO QB can throw for many yards without enough attempts! 330 attempts is not enough for a league average yards. If Mahomes had the same # of attempts as Mariota...he'd have just over 2900 yards passing. Doesn't matter qb you are. Too few attempts equals too few yards!

They believe in him so much they extended... oh wait... they have such little faith they would rather pick up a 20mil option for 1 season to ensure they don't toss their money out the window extending him...

Where do the Mariota Minions come up with this stuff?

Isn't this a board for Titan fans not Mariota Minions?

If they thought he'd play well in our system and took his 5th year option and then had remorse, they could have cut him. If they thought he wasn't any good any way...could have cut him and signed or traded for Flacco or Tannehill or a few others...

But they didn't do that. While they didn't give him a long term extension, they believe in him enough to think with an improved OL, better run game, and enough weapons...they think he can get it done to the tune of paying him $20mil. That's a lot of faith!

We'll see if it gets rewarded!!!

He was #30 in attempt distance and he only threw 25 passes over 16 Yards. Maybe that, combines with the number of sacks that he took while refusing to throw the ball, had something to do with that high %

Where do you get this idea from? Or are you just making stuff up as usual...?

The film has been broken down way too many times already. There were way too many times when Mariota held the ball with open receivers. Not every time, mind you, so don't overinflate what I am saying, but getting rid of the ball is one of the 20 or so major issues Mariota has.

I will admit when I play Madden I am a lot like Mariota. I don't know how to throw the ball away so before I make a bad pass, I just take the sack.

Also like Mariota, it usually happens when I mess up reading the defense and don't know where to look for the open receivers. (Another one of his 20 major flaws as a QB).

Only 5 people left still fighting the losing battle, but they are the 5 die hards. Good thing is, they are also the type, once Mariota is gone they will be 100% onboard and supportive of the replacement. Then the rift created by Mariota will heal.

What's the losing battle? Mariota's the starting QB for now, right? So people hating on him are losing until he either gets an extension or is off the team.

And the rift between fans is from the HATERS...not anyone else. No one gets upset if people cheer for the team...except haters who want Mariota to fail so badly they make stuff up to bash him about.

It's the made up nonsense that most are arguing about!

Virtually everyone agrees he needs to put it all together this season if he wants a new contract. Period. End of story.

So what are you and others calling people names for? That's where people get upset. Because it shows a LACK OF RESPECT! Mariota doesn't show a lack of respect and he works his tail off to do all he can. THAT is why the players and coaches RESPECT him. Will it be good enough...we'll see. But that is why they respect him and that respect is why they are willing to have a little faith in him.

You asked if this is a Titans forum for Titans FANS!!! It is...pick a side. You don't have to choose between supporting Mariota or not. Plenty of people on this board I respect who have a different opinion than mine, but I respect why they think that way and have respectful conversations. Those are FANS. hate and trolling is something else. Maybe it strokes someone's ego for 5 seconds or whatever...but that's not what this board is for.

The rift is between fans and haters/trolls/name callers. When people stop hating other fans...the rift will heal. You can hate Mariota if you want, but don't take it out on other fans of the team.

Your choice.

So Haters isn't a name...

Mariota Minions are down to 5 attacking anyone who doesn't like Mariota, but it is the 98% who are causing the problems...

Dak's best year is better than Mariota's best year.

Dak's worst year is better than Mariota's worst year.

Dak has 1200 yards fewer, 2 fewer TDs, and 17 fewer INTs in three seasons to Mariota's four.

You can go up and down the stat line. Yards, TDs, QBR, passer rating, winning percentage, completion percentage, you name it and Dak is better at it.

In what world is Mariota better at everything other than being healthy?

Context.

Perhaps if Mariota was drafted by Dallas and went to that team and Dak went to our team...the stats would be pretty different.

Dak had a tremendous amount of help. Arguably the best OL, arguably the best RB in the league, a HOF TE and good receivers. Marcus has had a lot less and the one time we did have a big time rushing attack, he had his best year.

No...because it's all speculation. Just like, of all the RB's I've seen live in my lifetime...Emitt Smith is not the greatest rb. For my money it's Barry Sanders...but Smith has the stats because of the team he went to.

We'll see this year...if we have improved the OL, have the rushing attack we should have, and plenty of weapons for Mariota...if Mariota can get it done or not!
