Just like a player who has played Mariota more than anybody, at his position (CB vs. QB) said he’s underrated.

Using your logic who’s opinion matters more?

What about the guys who play with him? His coaches. Does their opinion matter?

I agree that Robinson supporting him probably did have an influence...but would you turn down MILLIONS of dollars to NOT play with the GOAT and NOT have your best chance to win a ring???

He didn't specifically say it, but I think there is SOME concern that we don't know how much longer Brady and Belicheck will be there.

you dont have to be a homer to know mariota is an accurate qb who gets the ball where it needs to be. if you dont believe that to be true, you are just being a hater.
 
It’s okay. Because Mariota beat Brady and Wentz one time; he’s the greatest ever! Who needs 6 super bowl rings....hall of fame. Beat a team a few times and stiff arm somebody while playing 13-14 games and voila! History is made....lolz

People who say things about him that are correct as in the things he needs to improve upon. Not so much the people who just make stuff up because they are haters!

Is this 'one of the most trusted analysts' Cosell? The guy you quoted over and over again 'til he said something you disagreed with and then you said he didn't know what he was talking about and probably hadn't watched the film?

Didn't Humphries say he didn't know how long Brady would be there...not that he'll be there for the 4 years but might start to decline.

So your comments starts with the idea that Humphries didn't say, makes the assumption he thinks Brady will play for 4 more years AND decline...and then the next assumption that Mariota is guaranteed to be gone after this season AND whomever we bring in will automatically be better despite the high bust rate?

But here's my favorite part...didn't the Pats draft a qb to develop? Didn't they do that with Garropalo? Wouldn't he trust NE to develop Brady's successor and to play him over Brady when Brady declines over the Titans mortgaging their future on a less than 50/50 shot at a new QB we haven't been particularly good at developing?

Your logic doesn't make sense and it's not what he said anyway.
 
If anyone in here believe Humphries came for Mariota only, you are sadly mistaken,,,..No player in their right mind would pick a guy who is on the bubble on a non playoff team over a hall of famer and a chance at a super bowl unless you have other reasons. I’m glad he chose us, but who is Adam Humphries anyway? It’s not like he is some elite receiver. He is a good slot guy.

First, list the consensus that has said they think Mariota will play poorly enough to not get an extension?

Do you think if Mariota throws good stats...say 4k yards, 30+ TD's and we go to the playoffs that JR will dump him to mortgage our future for a new QB? JR will do that IF Mariota plays poorly. If Mariota plays well, they keep him.

So you think Humphries signed up here because he thinks it's likely the team...having add some good new pieces...will implode to a 2-14 record after back to back to back 9-7 seasons and our defense? And he's gambling we'll implode so we can get Tua? Cuz if we go 9-7 or 10-6, we aren't getting Tua or any top QB. No team is gonna want multiple first rounders if they have to drop 20 spots in the draft. So again, logic is lacking.

And you think Humphries thinks this is the more likely scenario than Brady playing 4 more years in NE at a high level? LOL

At least they aren't making stuff up! And none of the talking heads on TV have been analyzing football longer than I've been alive!

And as usual, making assumptions...something you do frequently...is a great way to lose all credibility since you don't know what or whom you are talking about.

It was a joke. Only you and CJ would take it personally when someone says that you couldn't make a Peewee football team.
