No... let me try to make it a bit more simple for you...

Brady is 41 and wants to play for 4 more years. If he signed with Pats he would be stuck with a 45 year old declining Brady.
Wow, that was so hard to understand....
If Brady was retiring now and they were going to draft or bring in a new qb, Humphries would have wanted to go to the Pats.. Instead he will get to play with the new Titans qb starting in 2020.
so you think humphries DOESNT want brady specifically and just wants a new, rookie qb instead? your logic sucks.

Not my logic....

He thinks Brady will be so bad in 2 years that he doesn't want to get involved with it.... I don't know how you are having such a hard time understanding that concept.

He thinks a rookie qb will be better in 2 years than Brady is going to be in 2 years...

Now I see why you are such a Mariota homer, your brain just doesn't compute.

you are such a mariota hater that you cant fathom that he just thinks mariota is a good, stable qb he can rely on. he'll get the ball where it needs to be and has plenty of age left. that's the reality. you just refuse to see it... because hater

You do realize just about every national analyst doesnt think Mariota will be here in the future right? Some go so far as to say no other team will sign him either because of the problems he has.

you do realize that talking heads predictions do not mean a damn thing, right? they get paid to fill dead air time in the offseason.

also no other team will sign him? that is a joke. whichever analyst said that, dont ever listen to them again lmao.

So you do not deny the consensus from the national analysts is Mariota will not live up to an extension and will be gone, but somehow Humphries has the inside track? That somehow Humphries can predict Mariota's future when the GM doesn't even try to predict that future. JR is going after his own guy, book it. Mariota is gone after this season. Humphries sees the writing on the wall. He is hoping Tua is tossing him the ball next season.

i have no idea what the consensus is on tv commentary. i dont have cable and certainly do not go out looking for talking heads. their opinions arent worth much. i DO know that not many people, including talking heads, speak in absolutes like that unless they are trying to get attention, though.

you are a fool if you believe he thinks we will have a qb change next year and thats the reason he chose us. and you are a fool if you think he doubts brady's ability. he doubts how long brady is going to stick around, specifically, he even said it. he doesn't want to restart at QB, if he did and he thought brady might leave then the patriots would have been the perfect fit for him. he could have gotten the goat AND THEN the rookie you seem to think he wants.

I think this just goes to show how much differently MM is viewed within NFL circles compared to the fan base.

People who actually know what they are talking about pick MM

MARIGOATA!!!

Well, obviously people in "NFL circles" don't know about Tingles, gushers and juice boxes

Can you link these national analysts who are saying to resign MM?

Guys, who cares. Glad he’s on the team and glad he wants to be here! Hope he’s productive and worth every penny of his contract. Also hope he can be a good veteran presence to our young WR’s Davis and Brown. Fills a big need both on and off the field.

--guy wants to play for titans

"well hold on a got damn second, it must be because we overpaid"

--we didnt overpay

"marcus mariota sucks, hes here to play with mettenberger"

Cept we offered the most money when he verbally accepted the offer.

So again, he went where the most money was offered.

well, I mean ... tbh.... would YOU want to be the 3rd WR 4 years into a system built around brady....... without brady?

Not exactly setting yourself up for career longevity there..

Mariota is an exciting QB. There are quite a few, but we're trending in the right direction, Nashville is becoming popular, and we have a need for WR's. If he works out we have our core.

I honestly don't know how things are gonna work out though. They say Tajae and Taylor are having good OTA's. They might push for some time. And I think all of those 5 really give us a lot of options as far as schemes and routes. None of them really have the same skillset.

Davis #1 who can do it all
Humphries Slot guy who can move the chains
AJ Brown #2 who can play the slot
Taylor Burner who can stretch the field
Tajae Precise route runner who can move the chains

Great group on paper especially if Taylor and/or Sharpe can take the next step. Gonna be interesting to see if things stay the same through camp

I am sure they know much less than the remaining 5 Mariota Minions.
People who have been analyzing football longer than Vondy and Thad have been alive know nothing. But a group of 5 homers on a titan's forum who couldn't coach or make a peewee football team know their stuff
