Tannehill injury prone? Answer:. Yeap! Look for him to run 20 yards behind the line of scrimmage to pass. Look for floaters and INTs. Unless the million receivers get open it will be disastrous.

The Titans can run against certain teams but for the most part they are not known for running the football. Tannehill is not known to run with the ball very often. All this spells trouble.

Good Play calling is what will sustain drives but I don't see that happening. The question remains, can Tannehill turn into SUPERNAN? Can he change the stupid plays and be innovative? Will he be less timid than Mariota and get in Smith's face and demand protection? Will he in essence become the coach of this team and find a way to win? If so, I think he can carry this team.

Falcons and browns game mariota played better. Didnt turn it over and put up more points
Our defense dominated both of those teams. Atlanta's defense is a different level of bad and Cleveland gifted is 180 yards in penalties. Tannehill was the MVP against Chargers.

Unlike those games, our defense played poorly on Sunday. We allowed the 9th most yards per drive, were 1 yard away from allowing 3 points every time that LA got the ball, allowed 37 passing yards from River each drive that he had the ball. If we had our typical offensive performance, we would have been smashed.

With Tannehill, we went from 29th in yards per drive to 4th, from being a 3 and out machine to having 0, and being 29th in 3rd down conversion to 9th last week, including several 3rd and long conversions. Also won the TOP battle, despite the same # of possessions. All while he had to throw into some of the tightest windows in the league , per next gen stats.

None of Mariota' s performances this year compare. Probably very few or none in his career. We can win most games with average QB play. We needed a legit QB on Sunday, and he was.

They are going to keep Tanny, draft a QB, and have him sit for a year.

I guarantee it.
Sounds like a plan but will they get a better OC to go along? Also, would Tammy resign knowing he won't be the guy moving forward, sounds like Tammy and his agent are wanting long term franchise QB status.

If we make the playoffs with Tanny , I’d say pass on a qb in 1st round next year unless a top prospect drops for some reason . I’d take a qb in the 2nd or 3rd to groom for future but build with BPA if Tanny is reasonable I’d extend him for sure.

If we make the playoffs, we're going to have a bidding war for his services. Chicago is another team which is a QB away from being a contender, and that's just the obvious one.

Tennessee fans have no idea how to evaluate the position on their own team. With Mariota, it was, "If he throws for 3,500 yards and 20 TDs and we win 63% of the games to make the playoffs, we should extend him". With Tannehill, it's, "If he completely resuscitates a dead offense which is among the worst in every way and wins 80% of his games in the toughest stretch of the season to make the playoffs, I guess we can throw him a bone while developing our guy"

If he gets us out of this hole-he's our guy.
If we don't pay him enough to make him stay, he'll likely go elsewhere and make us look stupid. I'm not saying any of this is going to happen. But if it did, it would clearly prove that Miami was the issue, not him, and holding that against him is idiotic

Tommy Boy will be our QB next year........Get with it!

Point being , if he gets us into the playoffs it’s worth spending significant money if we can get him way cheaper sooner then by all means extend him sooner. If he takes us to playoffs then we can go BPA in first round of draft. If we don’t make playoffs it could mean we need more fire power from qb position and could resign vets because are qb would be on rookie contract. I don’t understand why bring Mariota into this convo still , it sounds so personal.

I like Tanny. Definitely an upgrade from Mary. But I’ll form a better team opinion on him later. By season’s end we’ll know what we’ve got. My hope is that Tanny keeps about or around the stats he has now with a few better games. Then, draft QB 1st let him sit a year to learn.

You must have just looked at stats after the game. Mariota was as average as a qb can possibly play in the Browns game. He was trash until the Henry 75 yd for a td, that was immediately followed by Mayfield throwing an INT. The Browns defense quit after that.

You should watch the games, stats are very deceiving in some cases.

But Mariota scorched the nonexistent Atlanta D.
Two way street if that’s your take on the LAC game.
No I'm just sayin that tanny had just an average game last week. Nothing spectacular. still no threat of deep balls and running game kinda struggled

I agree with running game struggled. and I believe Tanny made the most out of that game. He threw to covered WR/s and made it work. Can any qb keep this up? well see. So far hes impressed and we are lucky to have him.

79.3 percent completion isn't average by any stretch and this game ranked within his top 10 performances ever. Just saying.
If mariota throws for that completion percentage ppl are like well its all short passes etc. He didnt have any deep passes last week. In fact he looked a lot like Mariota on an average day.

Tanny MVP?!?!? Hahaha thanks needed a good joke. He turned it over and fumbled twice and had another easy pic dropped. Our defense was the mvp.

None of that matters anymore. Tannehill is playing in TN now. His body of work will speak for itself. Nobody looks at Drew Brees and says “Well fuck, I’d want him but he wasn’t great in San Diego”.
