Tannehill had a great game yesterday, but I think its a little early to crown him as the Messiah Franchise QB just yet.

I live in Florida and have watched him first hand. I like him, he can look really good at times and has been able to string some good 4000 yard seasons together. But he has also had trouble staying healthy lately and has also been known to be inconsistent too.

Maybe the change of scenery and extra time to get fully healthy will be what the doctor ordered for Tanny and he will have an amazing second act to his career. But lets wait and see how things go over the rest of season before we start getting too worked up over one good game.

I dont think Tannehill had a "great game". I think Tannehill had an NFL qb game. He wasn't unbelievable, he just wasnt bad like the qb we are so used to watching. We normally have to scour the game to find positives to heap on Mariota.

Statistically he had one of his best games. And 79 percent is hatprdly an average game for a nfl qb

Well, if you read the op you would have seen that is NOT what I asked....I asked what does tanny have to do Going Forward for you to want toextend him. Facts.
The poll just asks yes or no.
People are just answering the poll.

Keep him, depending on how the rest of the season goes. Honestly, I'm more interested to see what the rest of the offense looks like w/somebody other than Mariota. People been talking shit about Corey Davis, but he looked great yesterday... with somebody who actually throws the ball. It was the Bolts defense, though.

I guess darnold should be benched in the 2nd half of tonight's game for having such an atrocious performance

I only read the first and last pages of this thread, so sorry if this has already been said.

But yesterday was basically as good as its gonna get with Tannehill. Yes, he was good, im not saying he wasnt, but a heap of stats have come out in the last 24 hours that prove that yesterday was in the top 10 percentile of his career performances.

Its not always going to be that good. Lets pump the breaks a little in terms of talk of a 4 year deal etc.
I hear ya, but at the same time this might be the best team Tannehill has ever been on. Off the top of my head, outside of Jarvis Landry who has he thrown to in his career? I don't think he's ever had a good o-line line or running game to rely on. Maybe the one year where Jay Ayai went off? For the most part the dolphins have sucked. It possible we continue to see some of his best games.

Either way I don't think he should get a full starter's contract after this. Hopefully he keeps it up, if nothing else, for us to continue to evaluate the rest of the offense properly for once.

The same will happen to Tannehill that happened to Mariota. The passing attack will cease to be. It will come to an abrupt halt.

What are you gonna do, go thru every QB in the league like a numbskull? How many choices do you think you have?

Get rid of the problem. VRABEL!

He's taken the Titans down a road that nobody wanted to go. Play calling is the most critical factor in a team's success. The man is getting beat and he doesn't own a mirror. Vrabel was such an impractical and poor choice for this team that you'd think the Titan organization knew nothing about football. The play callers have been utterly atrocious. They're all greenhorns! Well hallelujah! What did you expect from an inexperienced wannabe? A lineman??

All you can do now is throw your arms up in the air and shrug your shoulders, plop down to your knees and shake your head. It's called the point of no return. There is no hope!

Art is the issue. Not vrabel.

Tannehill is a great QB but there is little he can do against the onslaught ahead. QB destroyer Vrabel will see to that.

Just because greenhorn baby OC Arthur Smith doesn't do his homework does not mean DCs don't do theirs. Look to be manhandled.

But under no circumstances blame Tannehill.

Titan4Ever said:. "Art is the issue. Not vrabel".

It's his boy, right? Vrabel hired him? I'd say he's responsible for what he put out there. He put his stamp of approval on it all. An OC is almost always the reason why a head coach is fired.

I like our chances of retaining and riding (if he produces week by week) better than the Bears did obviously..... signing Glennon to a huge contract - only to draft Trubisky ....
