Dude just because you're a Titans fan doesn't mean you have to 100% support every player and love every player regardless of their actions because of the jersey they wear.
Can still be a fan of the Titans and not be a Mariota fan. Many fans of teams aren't overly excited about their teams' starting QB.

Sounds like you're already making excuses for him. Wouldn't put it past Mariota jock sniffers to blame gt if he has a bad season statistically or gets injured.

So what happens if he doesn't get re-signed? Do you leave and become a fan of another player?
We are Titan fans, not player fans.
The best outcome is the one where Mary puts it all together, stays healthy and has a great season leading to a franchise extension deal. I think 99% of us truly want this, but we also have to be realistic and if history is our only guide to the future, we have the right to have doubts and concerns.

I don’t care who qb’s this team , just want wins . The hate for Mariota is over the top tho , I don’t completely get it but it’s cool . Makes for preseason entertainment.

Exactly. I love how we aren’t “allowed” to be skeptical or give constructive criticism when it’s completely warranted, without being labeled a “hater”: I could see that take if the kid was new, but he isn’t, and there is a large sample size and team moves that make it justifiable. We all hope he kills it and we have the QB position settled, but let’s not kid ourselves, we are all wondering.......

I don't think any of us are player fans, no one would leave. Except maybe the ppl with Mariota in their usernames. Pretend everyone is a player fan if it fits your narrative though, i guess.

We are all Titans fans here. And No one is happy with the production from the QB position/offense in general last year. We just have different reasonings for how things have gone down.
The problem with the anti-MM crowd is that they refuse to admit that there were circumstances out of MM control that negatively affected his play. They want to pin 100% of the blame on MM, end of discussion. They have convinced themselves that literally ANY QB can come in and do better ... my god you guys were calling for Drew Lock in the 1st rd
The MM “fan boys” aren’t as much fan boys as the MM haters want to believe. No one is calling MM great. No one is saying that we don’t have concerns with his injuries or certain aspects of his game. What we ARE saying is, Stats don’t tell the whole story, roster and injuries didn’t help, and he is the best option we have going forward at this point.
With MM at QB, we will never be a team that is picking in the top 10. Surround him with the right talent and he could win us playoff games.
So what if we have to surround him with more talent than what Luck or Rodgers or Brady has ... he isn’t them and those QBs don’t come around often. If that’s your standard, you could spend a lifetime looking for a Qb and never find one.
MM could be our next McNair though, and that’s all I’m expecting.
If MM gets hurt again (and yes, the injuries do concern me) then I will probably be ready to cut bait ... but, be prepared for another run of 2010-2015 type of football if that happens, which was the absolute lowest point for me as a fan
