Luck played through a labrum tear.... His freaking shoulder...
If you don't understand how crazy that is, look at how long his rehab was.
With a labrum tear your arm will just slide out of the socket from the weight of your arm.. this guy was playing football. All the tendons are attached to the labrum, they all shift around and float. It is one of the worst and longest to rehab cartlidge tears you can get.
Nerves are a whole different world from bones and tendons . Remember Peyton . Mariota has flaws but scared to risk his body ain’t one of em . That would’ve been completely asinine , he could’ve ruined himself and been completely ineffective in that game . Give it a rest .

You don't seem to realize that Vrabel and the other coaches have jobs that they need to protect. 2 other HCs have been fired since he started playing here. I doubt that Vrabel would want to join that list by keeping a struggling QB on the field just because of something he said months before. If Tannehill looks better in practice, it would be pretty dann stupid to not start him
I understand perfectly. Aside from whisenhunt being a retard and mularkey being less than stellar, mariota isn’t what got them canned.
Separately, you don’t seem to understand that the amount of money on the line to figure out what Mariota is, is too high to bench him off the rip. No one outside you and your boy Davenport have said anything about poor play from MM during practice (which is still just practice).

Even more, vrabel can go 5-11 this year and not get fired. He’s no where close to a hot seat and it’s known that if this season is a bust, he gets “his” QB next offseason. Only then, if he fails more, will he be on the hot seat.

I’m a Luck hater, but dude is tougher than Mary no doubt. He is also more consistent with a better arm. He literally has had zero defense, and average players on offense and still destroys Mary’s numbers. People rise to the occasion behind Luck. Mary needs to prove it this year, or he is a goner.

Luck destroyed MM numbers ... he also attempted 640 passes to MMs 331 attempts lol. Any qb that throws 600+ passes will put up numbers.

none of these injuries could affect the throwing arm of a QUARTERBACK permanently, so really not the same

Torn ACL, separated shoulder, punctured lung, broken ribs, broken back all more serious than nerve pain.

MM starts on average 14 games per year ... Luck starts on average 12.3 games per year.

What an injury prone bishbish

Dr. Thaky ... how do you rank the following injuries?

  • He dealt with an ulnar nerve issue, which gave him a tingly throwing hand.
  • He suffered a neck stinger against the Colts in Week 11 and re-injured it in Week 16 against the Redskins. That second instance was why he couldn’t play in Week 17
  • He sustained a cracked vertebra.
  • His plantar fascia had a significant tear during the season, which escalated into a full tear in Week 16.
  • He had a strained oblique.
  • He suffered a broken rib
  • And finally, he dealt with a sprained AC shoulder joint.

Could you imagine Marcus taking 600 attempts?! Lol. He’s probably still only have like 15 TD’s. It would take him 2 years to throw 600 times. Because he is an athlete, then QB whom is often injured.

You just made the argument against the kid. That's in one season. Lol.

MM is an athlete not a QB ... except his YPA and comp % is better than the QB you're on your knees for lol

I'm not sure why you don't understand the concept. If a kicker is missing 30 yard FGs in practice, what would make him do better in a game? He should be hitting those without an issue, just like a QB should be making unpressured routine throws with no issue

I've just read 5 pages of back and forth (no idea why - im listening to a boring webinar at work), but it didnt look like you were arguing that MM looked bad, jsut that Tannehill looked better.

AC shoulder sprain = Roethlisberger played through it
Cracked vertebra= Romo played through it
Broken Rib= romo played through it
Plantar fascia= Peyton manning played through it
Ulnar nerve= Brett Favre played through it.
