This team has regressed. He was hired to push this team over the nine win hump because Mularkey wasn't good enough. Nearly a year and a half into the vrabel era has shown me all we have is the lesser version of Mularkey

I'd take Mularkey over Vrabel right now.
At least Mularkey knew how to protect the QB.

I agree that he needs to take some chances but he didn’t have much time. I was right behind him down near the end zone. Pocket collapsed from both sides pretty much at the snap. No time....no where to go.

For all his faults, Mularkey is the only coach who has gotten anything out of Mariota, even if it was for 6 or 8 game stretch. Sadly, that's one of the few positives about him.

We played like crap. I just can’t for the life of me understand how this team can be so inconsistent from week to week. It has to be the coaching staff. I’m not saying fire Vrabel just yet, but some serious changes have to be made going forward and in the off season, that’s for sure. And no, this loss wasn’t on Mariota. Not even close. Could a real franchise QB have overcome the blunders today to win? Absolutely! But to say we lost the game because of him is crazy.

Bottom line we aren’t going anywhere once again this year.
Look on the bright side, at least we aren’t a 2-3 win a year team anymore. Baby steps I guess, maybe another 5-10 years and we’ll be consistently good again.

Mariota found the open man in key situations again and again, only for drops or flags to negate it. You can't expect a QB to overcome the ineptitude of his teammates - to say Rodgers would have won 9/10 times is a reach, my dude.
