How many QB’s average 3 TD’s per game over the whole year?

It's one game.....obviously, if he throws 3 TDs per game, it would be dumb to nitpick. But I don't think it's nitpicking to point out that he was ineffective for 3 quarters and it took a dominant defensive effort to keep us in the game. It's the first game, and plenty of QBs did worse. We're just going to need production from more than PA .
I thought it was a good game by MM BUT,He throws for 250yds+/- and 3 TD's and you talk like that's average?
So what's your definition of a 'good' qb? Or list the qb's in the league who are 'good' qb's in your mind?

3 TD passes was well above avg, he’s on pace for 48. That’s way better than 11 (or 13).
He had 3992 in 15 games and ranked 13.Drew Brees didn’t have 4K yards passing last year.
I agree with everything you said and while 4K yards has become much more common I wouldn’t say it’s average just yet.

It was a decent performance, but there was plenty of room for improvement, and we have to remember what’s at stake here. We’re talking about the future of our franchise for the next seven years. Hopefully, the rest of the season sees improvement by leaps and bounds, and 3tds is great, but I’m not going to be crowing until I see consistency, which hasn’t been his strong suit over his career. I’m still in his corner. I still believe he can pick up from the trajectory he was on before all those injuries piled up. I’m just saying we could tone it down a bit. We don’t have to make a mountain out of molehill. It will play itself out in due time.

I just don’t understand the sentiment around having to sign Marcus to a huge long term contract. What other team is going to be bidding for his services on a massive deal?
Why would the Titans bid against themselves? Doesn’t make any sense to me.
Look at what an average contract for a starting QB in the NFL is versus rookie contract. We’re talking 20+ million per year. That’s a huge chunk of cap and he’d be an idiot not to want more than that. We just need to know he’s the guy.
It seems that the NFL just cannot recognize how dominant the boys were and how well they executed in all areas of the game after a win like Sunday. It is all about how poorly the darling Browns played. I know that Beckham had a once in a lifetime catch, but sheese!!

This. It was a good start. But it’s super early. I thought given the pressure he was under he did very well. Can he do it regularly? We will see.

I guess it’s possible for it to be a short contract, but is it plausible? As nice and personable Mariota is, he will want money. FO’s want value. This is generally what leads to lengthy contracts. I don’t think he’d be any different than any other player in that position.
But that’s what I’m saying what other team is going to be bidding. Marcus and his agent can ask for whatever they want but they won’t have much leverage if there aren’t other teams interested.
If he plays well enough that the Titans want to resign him, there will be many other teams willing to pay him. That said just tag him.
