did jags make sb? nope.
they give the poor teams just enough hope to drag them along but they never finish. Houston oilers never went.. only after they moved and were building a new stadium9Titans) , they got the privilege to lose an SB to the Rams who were also moving..
its about the money, not competition.
If money was your argument, I might be right there with you.
You didn’t say money, you said cool names and good looking players which is complete and total nonsense.

I said theres more than one variable.
Money does go into the showmanship aspect of it= good looking tv personalities

So that part is crap.
There are stars on almost every team with marketability including some of the worst teams.
I’ll buy into teams that make money being pushed to the forefront or at least bigger markets.

When did I say Mariota wouldn’t get starter money?

You said NO ONE else would be going after him so we shouldn't compete with ourselves, so we should low ball him...that means not giving him regular starter money! hence the term LOW BALL!

Did you know that contract had a clause where the dead cap would be less if he signed elsewhere?

I believe bortles signed somewhere and they got charged like $15.5mil in dead cap. So what's your point? They blew a lot of money for nothing!

I think you need to re read what I actually said.

Nope. They had under $10 million in dead cap after he signed.

I already broke down team by team. Go look at contracts. You cant just say a team will move on from a QB without consequence.

Did you read my summary? Your breakdown was like...Raiders have Carr signed thru 2020 with no other mention. Is Carr guaranteed to be their starting QB next season? A lot of players signed thru 2020 or later will get cut, hurt, or retire after this season. That's the way it goes.

So your breakdown does little to inspire that you are correct since you eliminate a lot of what will happen. We just don't know how many and on which teams...but those things will happen.

Look, Big Ben is already down for the year. if that team falls apart, are you 100% certain he's coming back after thinking about retiring after the last 4 seasons?

Yeah I’m sure the Steelers will just take the $25 million in dead money to move on from him.

You understand if Ben wants to retire, that's what will happen! The team doesn't decide if he's 'allowed' to retire!

You understand he said he will honor his contract? Sure that COULD change but right now it’s not. Steelers just traded their 1st round pick.

You think if they were worried about a QB they would have done that?

Big Ben is probably retiring. He’s been on the fence before and the injuries keep setting him back.
He’s got his 2 SB rings, he’s got nothing left to prove.

That would be awesome if Ben retires, Mason Rudolph sucks hard, they finish in the bottom 10, and have no first rounder. The steelers deserve a decade of misery.

He can say whatever he likes. But he's 37 and a good chance he needs Tommy John surgery which doesn't tend to work out too well for QB's in the NFL and he'll need at least a year to recover...if it's as bad as we think it is.

The Steelers trading their first round pick is extremely stupid...even if they think Rudolph is the second coming of Big Ben. Most everyone else doesn't think he is.

I just don’t see them paying Marcus over going with Randolph on his rookie deal. Ain’t gonna happen.

What QBs have had Tommy John surgery? All I can find are Jake Delhomme and Rob Johnson. Delhomme was back in a few months and said his arm was better after surgery. Johnson had the surgery after his career was over, basically. I can't find any others.

The difference between Goff and Marcus is that Goff is a year or possibly two years younger and had the Rams in the SB. Goff sucks either way but I think comparing Marcus situation in TEN to Goff's in LA is entirely different. Based on team successes.

70 attempts/500 yards = diminishing returns. Throw in the Winston-esque 4 TOs (one for a TD) and you've got yourself a nightmare. At home. 6 picks in 4 games.

Something is seriously wrong here.

Now he's on the road with basically 3 days to correct himself from that debacle?
