Nonsense.
I suppose to a certain extent, half the teams do lose though.
You’re also not explaining anything in your crazy scenario as to why those teams. Why would moving get a SB visit. Bengals dominated the AFC for most of the 80’s then they selected possibly the worst decade of draft picks for any team ever in the 90’s. Bucs won in 02’, saints in 09’. If the saints and KC are in the final 4, which “favorites” are getting cut out?

None of this makes sense.
move a team and then have them win to increase profit or just while building a new stadium. Its status quo and easy to observe, having happened 80-95% of the time.
it makes perfect sense. You just turn a blind eye to it.
Bucs opened a new stadium in 1998.. made the playoffs 5 times between 1997 and 2002. thats 9 extra games of playoff profit , to cover stadium cost. this all planned well in advance. Saints obviously never sniffed a super bowl till their stadium was rebuilt. Saints and KC wont make it this year.. Saints are already out anyway. Tampa will win division

Most recent 3 stadiums:
San Fran - 2014 - 8-8, 5-11, 2-14, 6-10, 4-12 since.
Minnesota - 2016 - 1 additional home game first season, missed post season next.
Atlanta - 2017 - went to the SB the year before. 7-9.

Not everyone is getting the memo. I’d almost say that it’s really coincidental.

OK- I think most people would be willing to listen to arguments that the refs are at times instructed to make calls to keep the game entertaining. And as a stretch, an even small portion of viewers would support that larger market (revenue) teams are given a favored approach. But without a smoking gun, nobody will ever believe the NFL is as rigged as you're suggesting.

I am interested to see if the Titans get some "no-calls" in response to the heavy holding we got dinged with before Brady went to twitter. Riveron called an ad hoc ref meeting that Saturday after our TNF. Holding calls were down from ~9 per game to 2.6. We definitely got penalized excessively (and selectively) in week 3. So your points aren't entirely tin foil hat crazy, maybe just facial tick crazy.
NFL refs suck

I'm not reading this entire thread, but we don't know how good 2 of the first round picks he's made really are yet. Davis has all the talent in the world but has a pussy for a QB. Simmons was the best DL in the draft and got injured. He will be great. The FA moves have been a mixed bag though.

Don’t think you can judge a GM, any GM, until they have their own hand selected guy at QB. This is a QB driven league and in most cases if you don’t have one, you’re not going anywhere as a team. It’s amazing how huge an impact a true franchise QB can have. JR has done some really good things here. And some bad things. Which is true of any GM. Nobody bats 1.00. Once he selects his QB in April, the clock starts ticking.

I bet they actually film every NFL game in the same studio Stanley Kubrick filmed the moon landing!

Realistically as a percentage, what’s our chances of drafting a top ten qb? Just asking . Do our chances increase with JRob making the pick?
Our chances increase as long as MM is starting. 80% sure we getting a top 10 QB this draft.Lucky for us teams are wanting future QBs too and will most likely take the hype/mobile QBs like Tua leaving us with a pocket passer in Fromm =]

I mean top 10 once he becomes an NFL quarterback. Very slim

And just to add it to. The title says "Time for a new direction" U guys didnt want a new direction after 3-4 consecutive 9-7 seasons? The fact is the Titans should try to boost their team and improve every yr. They added to the OL they have added to the WR core. They have tried to boost this offense all around 1 player as well as bringing in 3-4 OCs to get him going in the right direction.. He still cant manage to use any WR around him. Argue line ,play calls ,etc but the offense has looked crappy for argueablly 3 yrs? We always found ways to get a win by scraping by but the offense has never looked so good u can chalk us up with Ws like we all do with that Pats.
Its def time to go into a new direction with someone at QB. I wouldnt say new direction as lets start rebuilding this team. We have added pieces to the entire football team outside of QB. Now its time to upgrade that and not have excuses for poor play outside of rookie mistakes.

well to be fair, I dont think anyone saw Mahomes coming out of college and being the next GOAT. If we can get a QB that has a arm then this team should make strides. This fan base gets excited just to see above average Qb( Tann) who can sling the ball to his Wrs since the ball doesnt flow around liek that with MM. As soon as we get a passing QB, DaVIS and Humphries should both prove why we drafted him so high as well as signed Humphries who was a top route runner last year.n

Pretty obvious this whole "Patriots of the South" thing is not going to work, especially when we keep signing players the Patriots let go for more money than New England would have paid for them. I do like Logan Ryan though, as he's the only one that has really worked out.

I hate rebuilding as much as the next guy, but this team is hot garbage on offense thanks to Vrabel and Robinson accepting mediocrity in the form of Arthur Smith and bad OL management. I'm sorry, but we don't need a guy like Mike Vrabel, who had no head coaching experience prior, to be the guy leading this team. Hell, he wasn't even that good of a defensive coordinator. And Jon Robinson? Drafting bust after bust after bust with our top picks. Or trading up so we have a total of 4 picks in one draft. WTF? Extending Ben Jones, signing Dion Lewis (who sucks) and Butler (also sucks), not addressing the OL issues when it became known Lewan would be out for the first four games, the list goes on and on. I really don't know what the team can do now to fix things. Luck and Foles being out should at least put us in the top two of the AFC South, but after just 3 games, we're clearly last.

Just wanted to get your guys' thoughts. Being a Titans fan right now sucks. Seeing QBs like Mahomes and Jackson lead explosive offenses leads me to believe it's time for an overhaul. Back up the money truck to Lincoln Riley and his staff. Do whatever it takes. Especially if he somehow turns Jalen Hurts into a good passer. We need a bright offensive mind, not some guy who rose through the coaching ranks because he was a Patriot and is a "player's coach."

I've posted this before, but JRob has hit on basically all of his 1st rounders. Jackson isn't doing very well so far this year, but up til this year he's been a quality starter. Same for Davis, who has been non-existent this year after having a very solid sophmore season. But our offense as whole has been pretty abysmal minus the 2nd half of the Browns game.

After saving several potatoes one by one from a burning building today , the nashville hero was asked why he didn't just grab the whole bag and save himself several trips. Why risk your life like that. He said that after what he saw Mariota do on Thursday, there was no way he was going to take the sack.

Let me tell you what would change our direction and fortune.........we start wearing those sweet ass red jerseys for sale in the NFL store. Instant turn around.

I got you but don’t be over excited just because a qb has the opposite style of the ineffective player we currently have . There have been plenty of qb’s labeled “throwers” with cannons for arms that suck . Guys that throw all sorts of picks at the wrong time . You got guys that are also bad leaders , inaccurate and just can’t handle the NFL. A certain style of qb isn’t gonna save us , its gotta be the right guy and that’s NEVER a sure thing and I concur that Mariota sucks now . If it wasn’t for salary cap I’d say trade for a vet .

Damn son- what you’ve said qualifies as NOT hitting on his first rounders.

You willingly watch a team lose all the time. You enjoy it. You think it' a badge of honor to live vicariously through losers in funny uniforms. But yeah, you think you're smarter than me lol.

I’m absolutely fine with trading for a vet while we draft a qb for the future. The complete draft is hit and miss I understand that. But I also know what u usually have in a person by year 3 and we sitting on 5 with MM. I never wanted a mobile QBs and most ur college players are mobile. I’ve always wanted a pocket passer as a QB and we have an opportunity to get that. So I’ll get excited that we may get what I want back there instead of 5 years I told u so crap.
