Foles sucks, so does Goff. Both of those two players flourish beacause of a really talented roster combined with two great HCs in the league.
Ehh, I think Goff is alright and I haven’t seen mcvay with a different QB to compare your point.

Foles didn’t even flourish. He has 1 really good season under chip Kelly. Since that season, he’s been replaced as the starter twice (philly 1 and Stl) and sign specifically as a backup twice (KC and philly 2).

His injury in Jax was the best thing for him. He can’t prove, again, that he is t a starter.

Did you not see Goff in the SB game? Dude had a WR open in the endzone for about 15 seconds and still didnt see him? Goff is garbage. He just has stud players on offense. His production took a massive hit when Kupp went out last year.

I wish we could somehow get a vet at QB , like a Stafford . Although we sucked at the time , I felt ok when we got Hasselbeck , felt like dude knew what he was doing back there. Now our D is solid and we have pieces on offense , I’m just not feeling having to start all over with a rookie . The thought in and of itself is exhausting.

Its okay to start a rookie, as long as we draft the right rookie.

The league is set up right now to succeed with a rookie. The low cap hit allows you to build around them.

At least it isn't like the old days when you were paying some rookie qb a boatload when he hadn't done squat yet.

We need our guy. Not some retread. And any vet who hits the market is mediocre at best, and expensive.

Realistically as a percentage, what’s our chances of drafting a top ten qb? Just asking . Do our chances increase with JRob making the pick?

That’s 1 play. I’m not trying to sell Goff as anything more than good and even that is debatable.
Got it though, you think he sucks.

Although this is part of the reason there is a regular rotation of teams reaching for a QB in the first round. On occasion, a team gets lucky with one that will actually fit the bill.

It’s been a long time since the idea of drafting a QB to ride the pine for a year or 2 but I think that’s how QBs actually learn the game first and are better for it.

Peyton Manning struggled in the Postseason and got schooled by the NO defense.

He's terrible.

1-2 with 13 games left. I'm over it. MM8 going to start the rest of the season unless he gets hurt. I'm over it. MM8 won't get extended. I'm over it. We'll just see where our record goes. We're not getting Tua or Fromm. I'm over it.

It's not like this is anything new to long time Titans fans.

We'll do just good enough to be where we always are in the draft (18-20) and be left with scraps in the 1st when selecting a QB that analyst will say doesnt have much production but has high potential.

Unless we see DRASTIC improvement, there's no way we're picking in the late teens.

So you’re saying that 17 teams (including the titans) are forever bottom feeders because the NFL doesn’t like them?
Who are those teams, the not “chosen” ones?
I know this seems like a question I could look up and speculate myself, but I’m actually curious to see your list.

I don' know about not liking them. It' simply their job to lose.
I gave a general number. It' obvious who the preferred teams are. Just look through history. Houston was always cut short. Now as Tennessee, still shorted.
Both south divisions, except for Colts, will always suck except for the occasional bone. Tenn got a SB loss for moving. It will be years before they sniff another one. Same for Texans,Jets, Chargers,Saints,Bucs, Bengals, kc..yeah some of the teams seem good now but they've been there before and never cross the championship border.

Nonsense.
I suppose to a certain extent, half the teams do lose though.
You’re also not explaining anything in your crazy scenario as to why those teams. Why would moving get a SB visit. Bengals dominated the AFC for most of the 80’s then they selected possibly the worst decade of draft picks for any team ever in the 90’s. Bucs won in 02’, saints in 09’. If the saints and KC are in the final 4, which “favorites” are getting cut out?

None of this makes sense.

OK- I think most people would be willing to listen to arguments that the refs are at times instructed to make calls to keep the game entertaining. And as a stretch, an even small portion of viewers would support that larger market (revenue) teams are given a favored approach. But without a smoking gun, nobody will ever believe the NFL is as rigged as you're suggesting.

I am interested to see if the Titans get some "no-calls" in response to the heavy holding we got dinged with before Brady went to twitter. Riveron called an ad hoc ref meeting that Saturday after our TNF. Holding calls were down from ~9 per game to 2.6. We definitely got penalized excessively (and selectively) in week 3. So your points aren't entirely tin foil hat crazy, maybe just facial tick crazy.

I found it very interesting that Q3 of our game vs the Jags had no flags at all.

Should be some

Should be a decent class to draft a QB this year. We will have to pay a price to move into position, but I think we have a good chance of bringing home a stud.

We've said this 3 times since 2000

you cant say "some amount of favoritism." and then say "but not fixed". its one and the same. Bias = intended lying.
