If this is the “dressed rehearsal”, then the team looked like crap. Hopefully we look a whole lot better two weeks from now when the games count.

I’m really surprise at how bad the Oline looks.

Things have changed man...this is no dress rehearsal. Teams are just not doing that anymore—at least not many of them.

They still game plan for the third game and and treat as close to a regular season game than any of the other preseason games.

Some play starters more than others, the main reason they didn’t play Mariota more tonight is because the Oline was going to get him killed. I doubt seriously that this is the way the team wanted this game to play out.

Yep

Vrabel is going to tell us at his presser in about half an hour that MM was pulled because of fear he was going to get hurt.

What is going to change in two weeks though, it was the week 1 starters out there tonight with him.

Who says they game planned? And how much? Maybe a bit but come on—nothing serious. What would they base it on? Of course it went worse than they wanted. But you watch the film, get an ass chewing, and clean it up. Worry after a regular season game makes sense...not now.

Can't blame them. Mariota has shown nothing in training camp or in preseason action.

The fact he is already done for the night speaks volumes on how little vrabel and co. think of Marcus

Do they pay the OL to block IF the QB looks good? NO! They get paid to do their job and that is to keep the QB clean and upright. They are failing.

Perhaps getting rid of both OG's and leaving Jones maybe didn't solve all the problems on the interior OL like we hoped.

I think Vrabel decided the offense looks bad (everyone) and it's raining...so why risk more injury? Weren't people just complaining Mariota could get hurt diving into the endzone to score....but then when he gets protected, they throw a fit!

A lot will change before game one. First, the players will care a lot more. Second, they will legitimately game plan. Third, they will have an entire game to find a rhythm.

He's been benched two consecutive preseason dress rehearsals. He can't play worth a damn.

So let's see if your logic makes sense. You claim he was benched in the pre-season dress rehearsal, so obviously he didn't start week 1, right?

Oh wait, he did. You're trying to suggest things are what you'd like them to be...not what is really happening. Big difference!

Vrabel said they were gonna game plan this so it would get the coaches ready. Give the coaches reps for a change.

Pretty sure I heard him say they were NOT game planning, just trying some different packages.
I’ll try to find the interview.

Let’s hope this isn’t a snapshot of things to come and that they do get it cleaned up over the next two weeks.

I know this is the preseason and at the end of the day it doesn’t mean anything. But I do want to see the starters against the starters beginning to take shape and getting ready to come out of the gates swinging. Not saying that I’m worried this early on, but what I saw tonight is definitely concerning.

Good news is, there is time to clean things up make some adjustments before the regular season, but not much.

Titans do have one one of the least home
Field advantages in football. Used to be the best.

Now granted besides the players and team ... the theory I heard was the stadium is too perfectly / centralized located to downtown; thus making it easy for the all drunk out-of-towners to get to the stadium - easy access ...?

Devin Bush is going to be sick...

They probably thought it was a Steelers home game

Steelers are probably the largest fan base in the nation -- and the Nashville tourism and country music epicenter makes it a reasonable quick vacation.

You also run into the cost of tickets/preseason tickets....

You can sample the Titans, Steelers, and Patriots all into one...

Steelers - Avg. 104.6
Patriots - Avg. 127.04
... Titans - Avg. 78.17 (and I'm sure that number fluctuates vastly more than PIT and NE)

If you're one of them, you might as well pay for an away game (Nashville) have a vacation trip with the difference. Family of 4 racks up pretty quick. So it no longer surprises me when i see a ton of opposing teams in the stands.... Does it piss me off, you bet lol
