I'm still pissed about taking Dodd over both of those guys.

Titans fans complain about not taking Myles Jack (and the risk his knees wouldn’t hold up) or Jaylon Smith because of his injury. Both regarded as top 10 talents in the draft that year.

Then they do it and they still complain lol

I mean I think we all are but hindsight is always 20/20.

But now we are on the other side so no complaints because he’s doing what every fan wanted him to that year. Best part is we are in a position to take a guy like this because we have starters at every position.

Not saying we don’t need upgrades but we have talented enough guys to start at all spots.

I could go pull up posts where I was begging for Smith to be the picked at that time...just proved my thoughts. At the time we really needed a MLB.

Great value at 19. Kid is a beast and disruptive. We could have settled on being safe or taken a position that didn’t matter as much, but we rolled the sleeves up and said “F it”...Elite talent to get us over the hump with a bit longer of a wait.

Who are our edge rushers? Landry and 37 year old Wake?

You know what’s crazy though. Evans and Davis missed camp but cracked the lineup when they were healthy.
Yep. Fortunately for them the recovery time and prognosis for strained muscles is a lot more forgiving than ACL reconstruction.

You were gonna hate regardless like you always do. Unless he was from FSU.
False. I was lukewarm on Burns throughout the process. Even had Clelin Ferrell, a rival player, ranked ahead of him. Keep on hating though.

Top-45 pick. If we don't take him at 19 we're not taking him.

He's not worth the 19th pick in the draft.

I'm surprised to see so much hate for Clelin Ferrell. Every time I watch the guy I become more and more impressed. He's a smart guy who plays with a high IQ, assignment football, hustles, is heavy against the run, and has a good first step rushing the passer. He wins with outside speed, inside counters, and has a bull rush.

Negatives: He played on a line that will have five guys drafted in 2019 and he played RDE almost exclusively. He pops up coming out of his stance sometimes, which does seem to slow him down.

Of the second-tier 3-4 edge players I'd probably rank them Ferrell, Burns, and Sweat.

This poor kid for Texas A&M is probably still having nightmares.

For the record, I don't hate the player. He wasn't on my radar. I never watched him. I don't like having to likely wait 18 months to have him contribute meaningful snaps when we're on the edge of the playoffs.

guys come back from ACL
he will likely be there in November

Lots to criticism of ESPN on Twitter for showing high school video of his assault and no highlights.

ESPN had a crew in Mississippi to film his reaction with his family and didn't show chit.

You are being short sighted. That’s not a good thing to do when watching the NFL draft. This isn’t about 2019. This is about building a dominant defense for years to come.

I eagerly await his 5-9 snaps a game in November.

2019 is a wash. That's ok. It is what it is. No bitching come December and we're on the edge of the playoffs and he's not contributing though.

Landry, Finch, Wake & Correa... so far

Lol right? I mean I guess we shouldn’t let a guy who showed promise and someone we invested a 2nd round pick in become a starter.

Wake has shown he can still play at a high level and Finch and Correa proved to be decent backups.
