Tannehill has two months last year where he threw four or more (he was hurt the other two) and three months in 2016. He was hurt all 2017

Tannehill > Mary

This isn’t an insane stat to you?

Not really. I'm fully aware of the ups and downs of Mariota. I just call things as I see it and dont ignore either the ups or downs.

When you have 24 TDs over 2 years, stats like the one you posted doesnt really surprise me at all

Tannehill threw 8 TDs over a 3 game period last year against good defenses in Indy, Buffalo, and NE. He's better than people think and a lot better than Mariota.

I actually noticed this yesterday: MM8 hasn't thrown more than 2 TD's in a game since 2016. He threw 3 against SD in week 9, and 4 against GB in week 10.

Since then, his TD/Attempt has plummeted off the face of the earth.

Shouldn't this thread be merged into another thread like every thread I have ever posted on here

Numbers do not lie

The one issue with passer rating is that it does not take into consideration volume, it only measures efficiency. So people whose main issues with Mariota is that he does not throw enough yards and TDs will not be swayed by these numbers.

That being said, it does show he is still better than a lot of people want to admit.

Wow, I never knew that he was so good!

Now let's try a relevant exercise and compare him to QBs now. He was 22nd in QB rating among all qualified QBs in 2018, and 27th in 2017. He's below average, just like we all thought.
