Disagree. I’m not sure MM is better than smith after his leg fell off regardless of HC or OC. MM is just flat out broken.
So your saying Art is better or equal to Andy Reid? Idk about that. Change of scenery can do wonders at times for players.

Mariota is a great guy. I hope he goes somewhere and gets a chance to be “Alex Smith” like. I won’t even be mad. I’m ready to move on.

We'll have plenty of games ahead to know how much influence gameplan, OL, receivers, etc. have factored into Mariota's play.

Both the Chargers and Carolina have solid defenses. Maybe not Buffalo or Denver good but not Cleveland or Atlanta bad.

Hey it could be worse; we could have Winston.

maybe JRob is the issue. He had his hands on both these train wrecks. Hmmmm

IMO MM8 changed his game to not get hurt... check
and protect the ball better... check

OL so bad 4 man rush creates instant pressure and there is always a LB waiting on MM8

OC & OL coach need to be looking for work last tuesday

will be embarrassing walking into that stadium sunday watching T17 ... yeah our QB aint Gabbert. whoop de Fing doo!

Yesterday’s interview of Greg Cosell of NFL Films on The Zone was one of the best breakdowns of Mariota I’ve heard. He also gives his opinion on Tanny.

Midday 180

Scroll down to his interview. I couldn’t get the link just to his audio.

Good stuff. Wish everyone who refuses to believe Mariota is not a good QB would give it a listen.

He's broken mentally. He should go backup one of the aging starters and learn under them for a few years.

Sad thing is that I can't trust Jrobbed making a good QB pick in the 1st round.

When a 5 year vet needs to go "learn for a few years" that basically tells you all you need to know about him lol.

Not sure I do either. Just gotta hope for the best though.

Yep and he didnt hesitate to call out Tannehill either.

There is no doubt Tannehill is sack prone, holds the ball too long and takes too long to make decisions at times. That is why Miami dumped him and was willing to pay money to get rid of him.

At the end of the day Tannehill is a better passer (maybe even much better) than Mariota.

Yep. Cosell has always been an extremely intelligent and fair analyst. And he's been pointing out Mariota's flaws for years. He basically said Mariota plays scared in this interview. Pointed out Tannehill's flaws as well but you can tell he for sure thinks he's the better QB of the two. He stressed the importance of being able to make a quick decision in the face of pressure. Which has been one of my main issues with Mary for awhile now.

He was high on both early in their careers. His stance now seems to be that Tannehill didn't take the next step, and Mariota regressed.

Mary’s game hasn’t “changed” recently. If by the last 3-4 years is what you mean, yes. Dude has legit had 1 good year...which happened to be the year Murray went off (if I remember correctly). Let’s not get silly. Mariota has 100% earned this benching and finger pointing. They’ve drafted, signed, changed coaches, schemes, etc to help him. He simply sucks. This isn’t rocket science.

Yep. Point blank, I feel like if he had a less likeable personality NO ONE would still be defending him right now (or really at all the past season or so). Well, Oregon homers aside anyway.

When you set aside your personal feelings about his character/work ethic/etc. and objectively look at his actual skill and production there's just no question he is a mediocre (at best) QB, and a very poor starter.
