I've seen Lindstrom mocked to us
Know nothing about him, but I've seen a few people mention he could be the best G available. The thing is, I feel C is a bigger need. Jones is awful, declining and in the last year or his deal. He may be able to shift to RG and have a decent year, so why not upgrade C?

Yeah, I'd rather take c than g, but would prefer defense.

Let's become that physical team people hate to play again.

@Riverman be like "did somebody say Dodd?"

Funny about ABC and 520.

DT, if its one of our guys, is the best pick IMO. We STILL don't have that dominate Nose or disruptive guy to pair with Casey and we already invested into EDGE. A disruptive guy in the middle is just as disruptive as a guy on the edge. And if both Landry and Wake pan out, we would have to take one of them out to accomidate the rookie's pass rush ability. Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Another guy like Casey or a space eater who's disruptive would be more effective for us IF Landry and Wake pan out. We'd have to rotate in the rookie who'd likely be a specialist and that's what we brought in Cameron Wake for.

I'd love to get a monster to play beside Casey. We've never had one and Casey has had to be the guy by himself. That said, everywhere I've read says this draft is deep at DL. We also have 1 glaring hole left on the IOL IMO, and that must be fixed. If the offense can finally get it together, that helps the defense too.

I hate the idea of IOL at #19, but we would be back to a top 10 OL or better. That makes every player on offense better. Then you can take defense the rest of the draft if you'd like, I'm cool with it. But the OL MUST be fixed, and it's not there yet.

I'm hoping it's Christian Wilkins at 19

Stopping Luck, Watson and Foles would be a huge improvement. Need to get after them and sack them more.

If Wilkins was 21, he'd be a top 10 pick. But you have to wonder if he can overpower and dominate those OL in college simply because he's 24. Still pretty rare agility for a DL.

Um...maybe if he was 25 right now this would be a conversation. But since he's only 23 and will be for most of the NFL season, that's a non-issue. He's 4 years away from his athletic prime. Not a problem.

The Browns drafted Weeden at like 29................lol

Many plays he made simply because he could overpower linemen. He's got other traits, but his power was a big one. But that power was against guys who were likely several years younger than him. Will that translate? That's my worry. I love his motor, character, and quickness. Age and length aren't as inspiring

I don't really agree with your take fundamentally. Wilkins is NOT a power player. One of his few flaws is facing double teams. Simmons will stack your double team and keep your LB clean. Wilkins is not strong enough to stack at this point. He beats double teams by splitting them. He's a quick and shifty player who plays with great leverage, agility and angles. He doesn't really bull rush, he gets guys off balance and takes an angle on them and beats them. He's active against the run because he's hard to square up and just block. He's pretty good with his hands but his agility and shiftiness get guys off him because a lot of OL tend to lean.

Hiss length is a bit subpar...and that's always a concern...but he's not a guy who wins with length or power in college. He wins with his burst, agility, movement skills, hands and a high energy always on motor. It's also nice that Lawrence got more double teams freeing him up for more 1v1 situations (also freed up Ferrell).

He got handled by Bradbury in that one game...but everybody has at least 1 stinker..:

They were matched up only a handful of plays. Wilkins was pretty disruptive in the game but was not on Bradbury much. Lawrence had more plays directly in pass blocking vs Bradbury and didn't get close. But NC State runs a ton of outside zone so Bradbury was frequently bumping and getting to the second level or sealing off inside pursuit from the second level. That game really shows Bradbury's quickness and ability to get on people at the next level as well as pull outside.

Well he had a better season his Jr year as a 22-23 with 1 less game, so how does this make sense?
If you're expecting alphabet boi to make sense, you may be here awhile.
At least until 5:20, maybe even later.

LOL
