BPA, but Interior D-Line is my preference. And prefer no offensive players in round 1. Wouldn't be mad if Sweat fell to 19.

Not just times, he really blew a lot of interviews and showed his lack of mental toughness and ability to handle adversity while displaying a very poor attitude because coaches were breaking down concerns with his game film.

Kevin Dodd 2.0. Quitter

Dodd didn't have the tape or production Polite had. Dodd had 1 season of great production in which he benefitted from playing opposite of Shaw Lawson.

I wouldn't waste a 2nd rounder on him and prefer not to spend a 3rd either, but anything after that is good value for someone that could legitimately be a day 1 starter at Edge. Dude has great instincts in the field.

I like going D-Line Round 1. Not edge, but a disruptive D Lineman.

WR sounds sexy. But we better make sure we get our line issues fixed first. And if Taylor somehow breaks out, we've wasted a pick (I expect Humphries to be a star here). WR just seems like one of those iffy 1st round picks where you're not sure if you'll get a plug and play starter.

EDGE sounds sexy because of sacks, but a disruptive interior lineman could potentially create MORE sacks. Here's my reasoning...

Wake and Landry could potentially be ELITE pass rushers. If the backups can handle the rushing downs we're solid there.

However adding a disruptive tackle, who'd take more pressure off Casey, could make for an elite D-Line across the board and you can't double team Wake, Landry, Casey, Dqan, Rookie because you have Jayon Brown and Evans back there who can get to the quarterback too.

A disruptive tackle who's more than a pass rushing specialist imo would generate more pressure

Sexy?

And if you look at the 2018 season the Titans interior pass rush was strong while the outside pass rush was pitiful.

Depends on who we get.

Good stat to know. Although I think the addition of Wake, and a full season of Landry, is a completely different ballgame.

I haven't looked at the DL prospects enough to know who's got what. If one looks like the next coming of Aaron Donald or JJ Watt, then yes, I'm all for taking a shot on a 5 technique to play opposite of Casey.

The one major downside I said previously about a DL though is the % of snaps they'd end up playing in our scheme. Casey is usually in on nickel and dime packages, but how many other DL do we keep in there for those? We usually sub in LB types to play DE (Rak and Morgan the past few years) and move Casey in to the 3 technique along with someone to play the 1.

Again, I'd gladly take another stud DL, but if the team decides another edge guy is more needed than interior, I'm ok with that because that's what they decided is more needed for our scheme.

In truth, we need more and better depth at both positions.

Counting on a 37 year old and 2nd yr player to be elite?

Ya wild

I get where you're coming from. I don't want just another depth guy either. I'm not a college guy so have to read up before every draft, but I've heard a lot of people saying DT is deep and that we could get a disruptive guy, who could be solid against the run and push the pocket on passing downs. I get where you're coming from in not just wanting a roster spot though. IMO that's what we had last year.

I agree about depth at both positions too. We used to always be deep at D-line and rotating guys and they'd always get pressure. I'd like to see that again.

I think so too.

And look at who our top sack people were -- Casey and Brown, inside guys :)

Ryan was high too and I think his were all inside

How can you say the interior pass rush was strong? Because we blitzed our ILBs A/B gap way more than we should have to generate any pressure inside? Doesn’t that tell you that the only way we could get any pressure inside was by bringing both LBs and not the front 4?

Edge was weak because Rak and Morgan started and were past their prime. Landry, Wake and Finch could ball out. The coaches have a sense what they’ve got. I’m guessing DL and WR in rounds 1 & 2.

Gotta take off the training wheels at some point

EDGE and IOL with the first 2 picks imo. DL in the 3rd and I don't care from there .

well yes Guard does need to be the first pick. It is the only starting position we do not have secure and we need to get one early as there are only so many good ones.

Only OL I've seen mocked to us is Bradbury. I think we could find a starter at guard in the 2nd.

I honestly think its either DT or Edge with the 1st pick. If I could put down money I'd put it on DT if their guy is available. It's the only place we have a hole we didn't fill.

I've seen Lindstrom mocked to us
