Do the right thing and either quote them or tag them. Maybe they don’t know or you can at least repeat yourself over and over to the same people without vaguely addressing it to everyone.
Bum hurt? I’m keeping it general for admin purposes....

No. You weren’t talking to me.
What admin purposes?
I meant is he bum hurt? Cause I’m on ignore I think hahahahaha. You’re good. Admin didn’t want us taking jabs and making things personal. It wasn’t directed at me, just playing by the rules.

Really not sure who’s actually butt hurt and who is completely out of their mind.
Mariota is the target of both the far left (they love him to no fault) and the far right (they hate him and will never acknowledge anything good he’s done).

Basically Mariota is Trump for the Titans. And just like trump, the overwhelming majority are in the middle and typically the quietest.

if you tag him and he plays "decent" again you basically are forcing yourself to give him a high-level contract the following year, instead of a potentially team-friendly one after this year

You also run the risk of him being injured the following season and being useless on the sidelines or the field.

It would have to be a very team friendly deal filled with incentives imo

Pending performance this year, I’m not sure what kind of bargaining chips he holds to get a big contract.
I feel he plays well, I’d be ok giving like a 3 year deal no more than 60-65 million. That’s relatively cheap for a QB and still isn’t full commitment that another QB would be a surprise.

If he earns it, I wouldn't object.

I am just going off what we know as of now. He has a whole season to play and a lot can change.

To this point, I’m still good resigning him, as the backup and with backup pay. Maybe he gets another shot, maybe he holds the reigns for a rookie to get ready, but he’s a backup.

no way it will be that low if he plays well

Stupid argument. ANYbody can get hurt. Even a rookie web. It’s football

“Well” must be defined then.

I’ve stated before, minimimum marks before being considered for starter $ should be 3800, 25 and <10 TO. Still keeping a >60% comp.
Add his avg rushing stats.

Funny how none of that has to do with wins and losses. Where’d you play football at?

Yep.
Seems like a bit of a "no win" situation for the current QB:
- Some will say he needs to go 40 tds / 5 ints and the team finishes with 13 wins plus 2 playoff wins to even be considered for next year.
- At the same time.....most outside of the Titans fanbase have us at 3rd (some 4th) in the AFC South. (I think we are an 8-8 or 9-7 team.) So, what if he has a good year....say, better than his best so far but......we don't make the playoffs?

(Not directed at you HurrayTitans.....more rhetorical than anything.)

Point is.....it seems like he has to play lights out for 16 games and we need 2 playoff wins for that loud segment to ease up on him.

I just don't see the TEAM being that good.

but at least we are still paying TOP money for a "sort of quick" fat guy playing dt. LOL

Legit argument. Hes been hurt every year.

Just because you dont like it, it doesn't make it a stupid argument.
No it’s not. He’s played more than current franchise guy and could have a healthy career for the most part here in out.

But it’s football. Players get injured. That’s why you get good backups.

There are contracts with injury clauses. There are things that QBs are not allowed to do while under contract. (Depending on the contract and with who) Go check out Mahomes contract and look at the list of stuff he cant do because of the risk of injury.

You can keep pretending its not true but it's funny you make the comment to me about football 101 when you are sitting here calling Mariota elite, and that things like injury concerns are not factors in contracts.
