Yep. They don’t believe in him 100% both on the field and health wise. He will certainly be under a lot of pressure this year like it or not.
you are a broken record. everyone knows and has said that all offseason, yet you repeat it like every 3 posts acting like your laying some grand knowledge on us.

I’ll keep saying it until you guys are off the bag too......It’s not dropping knowledge it’s facts that some people ignore. We know who they are. You’re so unoriginal and boring

It kills you guys that he isn’t great, yet everyday I get some PFF bs or some stupid trivial stat proving how competent he is. Gtfoh. If it acts like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. Stop being a man that advocates average....

wrong. everyone agrees. except maybe cj.

you want to keep dogging him cuz you hate him though so you keep acting like you're the only one

If it comes down to Mariota at 30mil a year vs a rookie at way way less, I'll take the rookie. The production Mariota has given is easily replaced .

A first round QB has about a 1 in 3 chance of not being a bust in the long run. Odds are significantly lower after that.

To get someone star level you are looking at 1 in 15 odds in the first round.

And for those (not necessarily you) who will say "But but Tom Brady" I say: Take a look at all the mid and late round QBs that have been drafted in the last 20 years and how many of them did anything, much less become a star.

Most starters today are first or high second round picks. Even though most first and high second round QBs bust out.

Bottom line: If Mariota is decent, he should and probably will be re-signed.

Nah I don’t hate him at all, and I’ve said that many times on here as well. Big difference between hatred and expectation/factual evidence. I’m sorry I hurt your feelings Vondy.

Chances of a guy who hasn't become a star in five years becoming one is next to nil.

I doubt he even has to become a star to get a new contract. Another year like 2016 and they may do it.

If he has a good year, Id tag him and ask him to do it again

if you tag him and he plays "decent" again you basically are forcing yourself to give him a high-level contract the following year, instead of a potentially team-friendly one after this year

So you’re willing to jump on the train of a guy who’s proven to be average or below average to save a few bucks rather than know for sure that you’re getting Marigoata?

Most rational people would say prove it to me that you can have at least another “good” year before throwing money at an unproven commodity.

Can’t trust or respect a man that fights and accepts average....or hypes a 5th round mediocre player like Tajae Sharpe. Lol

He’s been “average?” Just stop. He was the only thing on offense outside of Delanie when he got here.

But no mention of Demarco Murray, Henry, Lewis, Jonnu, Matthews, Davis, Taylor, (now brown, and Humphries), bookend tackles...List goes on.....

Some people prefer the mystery box to a good player

Do the right thing and either quote them or tag them. Maybe they don’t know or you can at least repeat yourself over and over to the same people without vaguely addressing it to everyone.
