Just bc he isnt our best player anymore does not mean we should cut him. He is still a very solid player and team leader. It would send a very bad message to the team if we cut him, and I doubt we can replace him easily next season.

Overrated and overpriced....
ps, the above post is typically the mindset.....”so he’s really not very good ( I would argue he hasn’t been for 3 seasons) but we like him....
 
Wake was a failure we need some pass rushing and we never got it.

Agree on pass rush. But this oline is set for next year if they keep Conklin. Only thing to add would be depth. I know people want an upgrade at guard, but it is not happening. We have to spend the money elsewhere and thus we will roll with an Oline that went to the AFC championship game.
 
Disagree on the Oline.

It can play well... but when it's bad, it's BAD.

A good, "set" Oline has good games and ok games. We had good games and terrible games.

My point is not that it can’t be improved. Of course it can. But it won’t be. We just don’t have the resources to make any noteworthy improvement. There will be too many other needs. I am very confident they will ride with what they have.

Then they better figure out how they can most successfully run the ball because they suck at pass blocking for the most part.

Right now, it is what it is. I do think it is like that Nate Davis improves. That will help. Another year playing together might help. But I don’t think we add any starters to replace current ones.

Depends on how much Conklin wants. The Titans have a lot of the areas to address and overpaying for an average right tackle could hurt
 
Man over-reaction Monday. We played a crap game yesterday but doesnt mean we blow up the team.

Our FAs (In order of priority)
1. Resign Henry 4/60 mil 45 guaranteed
2. Resign Conklin or Kelly (Pick one because we are not keeping both) Conklin prolly be 4 yr 40 mil
3. Resign Tannehille but do not break the bank
(3 yrs 65 mil)
4. Resign Ryan (3 yr 30 mil)
5. Resign Pruitt
6. Resign Firsker

Cuts:
1. Walker - Love Delanie but the injury took the rest if his career. He needs to retire.
2. Lewis - Completely ineffective at his cost.
3. Succup- Injury was worse than we all expected got to let him go

FA:
I dont see us doing much other than signing a few depth guys for special teams. We have too many of our own that we need to resign and we wont have the money for a top edge rushing FA.

Draft: (Assuming all above has taken place)
1. Pass Russ OLB this changes if a top QB prospect happens to fall to the late 1st
2. RB2
3. WR
4. CB
5. ILB
6. DT

Do you realize we had ONE possession in the 3rd quarter? He touched the ball 3/6 plays. Can't run when you have one quarter left and are down 2 scores.

Plus Henry wasn't effective yesterday. He got shut down.

This is not true at all. The players in the locker room were talking about how the Titans played 3 totally different schemes 3 weeks in a row.

We are all upset but these are knee jerk reactions. We were simply outmatched by one of the greatest offensive teams ever. Show me a team that has contained that offense, and show me a bad game Mahomes has had at QB. It just doesn't happen.

Pees tried blitzing, playing man, playing zone. We did all that and got beat just about every time.
 
We need two elite pass rushers any way we can get them, as well as one or two elite level cornerbacks. Then re-sign the key players who made this work.

My dream draft would be edge and cb in one and two. a kicker return man who can be a deep threat. A kicker.

Are there any big backs that can catch in this draft? I would love being able 2 give Henry a breather and still be able to pound the defense.

Depth with the rest of our picks. This is assuming we keep tanny, henry and conk.

Sure—if we let Conklin walk we need to replace him. But how much better will we be able to get? You gotta pay more for better.
