Because the defense still got worked in those games, they just had key stops. He calls the softest shit I've ever seen, we won't win the division with him and will continue to barely sneak in the playoffs with him. This run isn't normal. This rush 3 trash needs to go.

“Worked” against NE? They didn’t get 300 yards.


Baltimore, specifically Jackson, got a bunch of garbage time stats. Up 28-6 allows some prevent D. Not a fan still but kind of makes sense.

I agree in general Peas plays soft and often too early. That was a knock about him before he was hired here. Some of that is talent though. If 3/4 guys going after a QB could actually get pressure, his approach wouldn’t seem that bad.

As mentioned by someone else though, I’d like to see the switch back to 4-3. Casey and Simmons would both benefit. Landry and Evans might not though.

Personally, I like the idea of keeping the core of this defense together but the problem is we got players at key positions that are far on backside of their careers and its showing. To be honest, it's almost criminal that they neglected the edge rusher position on this team for as long as they have. We need to follow the Colts plan on defense and get faster.
 
Henry is a top priority....top dollar, but no more than 3 years IMO (at this pace he will be done by then).

After that, I totally agree with the need to bolster the DL. We were not able to put any rush on Mahomes today, and were sporadic at best throughout the season IMO.

At QB, I am fine with signing Tannehill, but would franchise him before going crazy on price. Sorry, he has not shown me that he is more than a game manager here....good to have, but not worth top dollar.

We got worked in those games? Really? You are going with that?
 
All we really need is a defense like the niners. We are actually not far from having that.
 
1. Sign henry
2. Sign or tag Tannehill
3. Sign conklin
4. Draft edge 1st round
5. Sign logan ryan OR draft cb 2nd round
6. Sign or draft an impact speed WR
7. Draft rb 3rd round
8. Sign a backup qb
9. Draft depth at OL

Cut Dion, Wake, succop, & delanie retires

JRob went with the same plan at edge in 2019 as he did at WR in 2018. A second-year player who took a step forward and a bunch of unproven guys who prove to not be very good.

It would have been nice if we got one of the Smiths that went to Green Bay.

What I find concerning is that this deficiency didn't just show up. JRob knew that this DL is atrocious at pass rushing and put all his chips on linebackers getting all the sack and pressure production while the DL stopped the run.

Also, I know we don't have the personnel but I'm ready to play 4-3 exclusively with two good edge rushing DE's.
 
Edge has to be priority number one. We HAVE to get more pressure next season. Aside from that, KC proves to us that we need more speed in the secondary.
