Here’s what will happen:

Titans will beat the Colts twice this year, win the division, and advance to the AFC title game.

Colts will be worse than the Dolphins, draft Tua, and beat the Titans for 11 more years.
If that was a joke, I'm not laughing.

That's sooooo Titans luck.

what's that celine dion song from the last second TD win of Clemson over Bama...

My Heart Will Go On... lmao

cue it.

Just finished a beer thinking it would be my last watching this fla-mia game but i think ill have me another. Im feeling good.

I ran upstairs to tell my wife who doesnt care then she yelled at me because she thought someone died or something. F**k the colts. Cheers fellas

I had a similar thing happen to me- LOL. I exclaimed "Holy Shit!" and she was interested until I told her it was about football.

Regardless feel a little bad for the guy. He rather not play at all then have to play through injuries.

So moving forward here's the measuring stick ...

If Brissett finishes with better stats than Marcus , then kick rocks.

Or is this the new expedition? Marcus to “try” and have better stats than Jacoby ...

The NFL?

Maybe Luck? It’s clearly injury related, people can have more than one motivation in life.

Agree that this is likely his motivation, and
The guy has made $70 million dollars, is retiring at 29 and plans to travel the world with his wife.

Sad for who?!

Understand this point....I guess my first answer would be that this is sad for the NFL. At this point, for a variety of reasons (safety, salary expectations, post career opportunities, personal reasons, others), it is more personally advantageous to leave the league than it is to stay for him.

This is something that the league will need to figure out pretty quickly IMO.

Brisset is solid. I wouldn't sleep on them just yet. He's actually probably better than Mariota.
While I like Brisset, this is a bit over the top IMO.

Also, as worried as I am of the Colts tanking and getting another solid QB, I feel their roster is too good to be worst than some of the teams in the NFL. They'd have to heavily trade up, just like we would.

Understood, but the whole "suck for Luck" campaign did not produce too many results for them IMO. We sucked during alot of his career also. but overall what did he do for the Colts...couple of playoff appearances, one conference title game I think (feel free to correct me on that since I am basing this purely on memory).

My point is this...they can draft a "top tier" QB next year, but it is still a crapshoot. In 1998 there was legitimate debate on drafting Ryan Leaf vs. Peyton Manning...Colts won that one, just not sure that they won this one here.

Happy Retirement Andrew...best of luck in your future endeavors, so long as they do not involve suiting up in a football uniform for a game against the Titans LOL.
The rest of the roster was not very good around the guy. I always thought he was a bit overrated, but the roster is pretty well rounded at this point. Luck could have given them a legit shot over the next 5 years. Now that won't be the case though.

Colts were literally built right now to win for the long run.

This really has to hurt the Colts and their fans..

Oh well

He had a better QB rating as a starter in 17 despite being with the team for 1 week, and it being a bad team. Mariota's lack of development and production has always been a bigger issue than Luck.

Very shocking and it's too bad injuries ruin young athletes. Cowherd will still rank Luck top 5 QB of all time.

**Please don't turn this to an anti MM8 thread, there's a certain rock chewing troll that turns every thread into one**

Physical toll on Andrew Luck through 6 NFL seasons: per Zak keefer

» Torn cartilage in 2 ribs

» partially torn abdomen

» a lacerated kidney that left him peeing blood

» at least 1 concussion

» a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder

» and this mysterious calf/ankle issue that led to this

Career Stats (6 Seasons)

•23,671 Passing Yards

•171 TD’s.

•83 INT’s.

•89.5 QBR

•60.8 Completion %

•20 Game Winning Drives

•4-4 Playoff Record

Most passing TDs in first 6 NFL seasons:

Dan Marino 196

Andrew Luck 171

Peyton Manning 167

Russell Wilson 161

Most passing yards in first 6 NFL seasons:

Peyton Manning 24,885

Dan Marino 23,856

Andrew Luck 23,671

Matt Ryan 23,472

This is great for our chances of winning the division, but it sucks that we'll literally never beat Luck.

The timing of this seems very strange, is there more to it than his injuries?

Better this year than getting Trevor Lawernce the following year

Wow man . Unfortunate and it’s not even a knee or the shoulder .The Colts were looking ready though . Life is full of surprises.

They won 4 games with him as a starter in 2017 and were 30th in points and 31st in yards, so who really cares about his QB rating. I think Brissett is an ok back up if you need someone to fill in a game here and there, but he hasn't done much of anything to show he is someone who will be a good starting QB for an entire season.

Well, looks like all the "Hilarious" jokes by Pat and Reggie at the NFL Draft are coming right back to haunt them. I hope they get stuck in reverse, and feel the brunt of those jokes by experiencing a QB Carousel for the next decade...
