Bridgewater is Meh. A variation of Mariota. Safe QB who isn't particularly good at protecting the ball.

Tannehill has scored 62 total TDs in his past few years, which equal 2 and a half seasons worth of games played. He's thrown 4,200 yards in a season before, and over 4k more than once . Put him on a good team with a good OC, he may actually be pretty damn good.

We brought Tannehill here as a backup, because we have an injury prone QB and want to salvage the season in case Mariota goes down. Since Mariota has been injured so often during his career we decided on getting a potential starter as a backup.

Mariota will start and continue to play even if he has a rough couple of weeks to start the season. Mariota is confirmed starter and the only way Tannehill gets in is either in garbage time or if Mariota gets hurt.
 
Another thing people should consider is that THill is working with the 2s, which includes AJ Brown right now. Reportedly, the two are hitting it off. He's a guy that we're going to want to get involved sooner rather than later. So if he starts working with the 1s and the same chemistry and connection isn't there with Mariota, he's not going to be the only new addition to the 1st team.

Batson looking like D Jackson with Tannehill throwing the ball is pretty noteworthy as well

yeah im sure we'll swap quarterbacks cuz a rookie was looking good in practice with the backup qb... listen to yourself lol

your ability to try to make something out of nothing in favor of tanne... is sad
 
It's not hard to have chemistry with Walker and Davis. Any of us could be given a football and have chemistry with those guys, just as Locker and Mett did in 14 when Walker had his second most productive season. But Mariota has had a notoriously tough time connecting with young receivers. If Tannehill proves that the "miscommunication" and "wrong routes" are actually "the QB sucks" by not making the same mistakes, then it's noteworthy
