I'm not buying Tanny for HOF or any of that nonsense...
But I am curious to see how camp and preseason plays out. It would not shock me at all for Tanny to beat Mary out, or for Mary to miss a game with injury and never get his job back.

At least we'll be able to know more about the team. Maybe they do suck , and Mariota has been dealing with a bad hand . Or maybe we have a good group and the QB actually is the one who sucks. Maybe it's all of the above and we should just tank.

I tend to think if Mary misses 1-game here and there he will keep the job.
Now if he A.) sucks, or B.) is out an extended length of time, then yea Tanny may steal the job and never look back..
I dont think preseason play will show whos better. Mary wont be playing many snaps, and Tanny will get his looks vs every teams 2's. Wont be enough to unseat Mary IMO

Opinion:
I don't think our GM or HC are Married to Mary. I think all hope that Mary has a breakout season but are prepared to move on without him in 2020. Tannehill was prob. the best backup for the current situation. I know there are a lot of Mary haters on here but we should all hope Mary is the one, finding a Franchise QB isn't easy.
