Totally fair . I agree 100% and I love Mariota . He needs to step it up and get fiery from the first snap . That nice guy needs to remain in the lockeroom till the battle is over . I’m hoping for the best but I can see it going either way .
 
Just read through pieces of this thread and came to my own thoughts on the matter. It’s pre season, and way to early to say that Tammy is better than Mary at this point! Tammy was able to play with the ball, and Mary really wasn’t. Maybe next week Mary will get to play with the ball a little more than Tammy will, and we can see a little more about how many moves we will have to make to draft a Qb.
 
I've seen enough of Taywan.... "One game doesn't mean anything" - Yes, one game doesn't - it's the game stacked upon game that does, and there's plenty to go off of.

As long as Khalif doesn't royally shhh the bed these next few games, he's an auto-bid. His special teams value alone stands him above the competition.

I say next game, we should let Khalif return 2-3 series of punts, if the defense permits it. Really get a solid 3D look at what he brings.... I mean other than catching EVERYTHING that was even thrown AT HIM yesterday...

Don't worry, once we get to regular season and Mary is throwing to Taywan, all drops will be Mary's fault.
 
A lot of Mariota’s passes were off target, even passes that were caught. The two best balls he threw were dropped by Taylor and Jennings didn’t get his feet down on the other. On the other hand, it mostly seemed to be timing issues, which shouldn’t be much of a surprise considering the guys he’s been working with weren’t playing.

It is put up or shut up time for Mariota. But this one series in this one preseason game doesn’t mean it’s time to shut up. I’m happy that he is getting a 5th season to prove it. The best situation for the Titans is that he puts it all together. He’s proven to be a clutch QB with his come from behind wins. If the rest of his game improves, he is going to go on to be one of the best in the league.
 
San Diego gave up on Drew Brees. The Lions were close to giving up on Stafford at one point. We really have to know what we have.

Yes. But on the other hand, there is a long list of guys who gave been held on to way too long. Andy Dalton comes to mind.

We shall see. I just hope that if tanehill is the better guy (as history would support) that jrob and Vrabel have the balls to make the move while the season is still alive.
 
Other QBs didn't have trouble on their first drives... Hell, crab legs drove the bucs to a TD on his first.
 
I know it’s only 1 preseason game and Henry wasn’t playing so the game may have gone different but here are some interesting king Arthur stats:

Titans scored more points than in 13 games last season with Lafluer

Ran 80 plays while holding the ball for nearly 38 minutes

Titans threw the ball 44 times - more than any game last season.(Titans finished 2nd to last in pass attempts last year with 437)

Not bad for his debut.

Dont read into preseason too much

We passed more than run last preseason week1 as well.

From where I’m standing, the history is that Miami gave up on Tannehill for a lot of the same reasons a number of fans want the Titans to give up on Mariota. If Tannehill gets his shot, I hope he shines. But I really want to see where Mariota is when we start playing real football.
 
There’s no need to tear down Mariota if you want to see Tannehill play and no need to tear down Tannehill if you’d rather see Mariota. We should all just be thankful we have this situation. Blaine Gabbert was on this roster last season.
 
I love when people give me 10 negatives and when I return them they start messaging me calling me names and acting all bent out of shape because I gave them negatives in response to them...

Why is it ok to give me 10 negatives but if I give them back you freak out? Tell you what, dont give me any and I will NEVER give you any. If you don't want them, don't be so quick to give them out.
