I duno, didnt Sharpe have a 140-150 yard receving game last year?

Cool the jets on Brown, its 1 game. For all we know, CD may have a 100+ yard game next week, Delanie the week after, and Brown could have a queit month, the same way CD didnt have a reception in week 1. It happens

Sure. Who goes off will change week to week. We will, I hope and assume, continue to run a balanced offense where nobody gets all the targets.

Brown is gonna be a good number 2 though. He, Davis, hump, and walker is a lot to cover, especially with Henry and mariotas wheels to worry about.

If used correctly, this offense is dangerous. Week 1, so far so good.

People actually hyped up Sharpe lol. That’s how poverty our WR corps have been.....

I actually feel bad for some of the guys. The receiving group is saturated with talent, and there won't be enough attempts to go around. Hopefully we ramp up the passing when Lewan returns and Mariota gains some confidence, because there is no reason even an average QB shouldn't have well over 4,000 yards and 30+ TDs

Don't you look anything up before making it up?

There are only 7 QB's who had those numbers last year. Those are ELITE numbers, not average.

4,000 yards? That seems pretty average. The TD count is high and we probably won't see both, but there have been plenty of QBs who have achieved those numbers on a season if they've been playing long enough and have the talent around them

Wouldn't you agree that Davis, Walker, Humphries, Brown, and a running threat like Henry are pretty elite company? If he can't put up elite numbers with an elite supporting cast, he'd be a detriment to the offense and below average in my books. Two of those guys have produced 800-1,000 yard seasons with him, another did so with a bad QB elsewhere, and Brown absolutely looks like he belongs in the same company. 4,000 yards should be the bare minimum for our expectations

3500-3900 is where he will land

And I'll take it

Those average/trash QBs that reached those "elite numbers", are the ones that played in a horrible team were they were racking up garbage time stats, 2015 Blake Bortles comes to mind.

Tannehill threw for 4,000 yards and 27 TDs on a much less talented team with a .500 record, so I disagree. Carr and Dalton have done the same in a year with meaningful games.

Bro, this is pretty much you every post talking about Mariota on every damn thread. Even the ones not even about him.

So we can't even compliment the receivers, since it could possibly be a slight against Mariota. Got it.

Aj looked really good against the Browns. I think he should start over Tajae as he offers more as a playmaker. THE END.

It ain't that damn hard man.
