Can't compare Hill to Simmons, yes both were bad / stupid but Simmons was 4 years ago and he was 17.
Hill has done it again and who knows how many other times.

Simmons by all accounts has showed remorse and changed his life. Doesn't take away what he did, not a saint but deserves a second chance imo.

Hill needs to be hung in front of an audience. Simmons is a good guy who beat a girl up for attacking his family. I wouldn't have taken it so easy on her.

He seems harmless IMO, and I'm never wrong about people. He's intelligent and a genuine philanthropist.

Both Matt Miller and Todd McShay must be Titans fans since they think he’s a top 5 player in this draft based on production.

A lot of Ed Oliver hate going on in here. I'm not sure I've ever seen that kind of speed and hustle from a DT before. He's the KVB of defensive tackles. The guy will flat-out sprint after the ball once it goes beyond the line of scrimmage. Sideline-to-sideline speed at DT is rare. Lol.

do you really believe these two situations are comparable?

when most of the posters on here are saying he'd be a top 5 pick, they aren't even considering that he had an off the field issue 4 years ago when he was 17. That would make some teams uncomfortable and they wouldn't draft him that high. But, from a pure talent perspective, this guy is top 5 without the injury and that is per nfl scouts, not just fans being homers.
 
We got a top 5 talent at 19...yes we need to wait until next year to see it but well worth it in the long run.
 
You know you're a problem for Offenses when Alabama Double Teams & Cut Blocks you ..... all game... And the occasional play they don't, you're in on the play...

Easily top 10 considering he seems to have turned his life around. If he hadn't, he might fall to the late middle or even go undrafted.

Generous...perhaps. Perhaps not.

Oliver is a bit of a question mark because he added a lot of weight and will play a different position in the pros. Wilkins is a better mover and very slippery, but Simmons has the power Wilkins doesn't have. Simmons also has elite length.

Most people who had Simmons out of the top 10 dropped him for the incident in HS and then also for the injury.

So 'experts' argue he could be the best player in the draft in a few years. I think that's a bit rich, but NFL.com did have him as the 2nd rated player in the draft. They only had 4 players rated highly enough to have a chance at being pro bowl players.

Point is, if he becomes a dominant player, he'll be worth it. Question is...does he become Cox/Suh or does he only become a Brockers type?

Zwerlein @nfl.com also has him rated as the 2nd best player in the draft with a chance to be a pro bowl player.

So yes, some opinions think he's a top 5 player. JRob clearly thought so since in his press conference he said he was rated as highly with only a handful of players...meaning top 5 on their board.
 
2 things here....
#1 Our biggest issue was offense. Ranked at the bottom so we signed Humphries and drafted Brown in addition to bolstering our O Line.
#2 What he did in HS is in the past and based on different circumstances than Tyreek Hill and if Amy (who is a woman) can look past it, nuff said. I like this pick up.

Better than Wilkins and probably better than little Oliver. Certainly better than any DT last year, the year before and the year before that.
