Predicting picks based on guessing what 32 teams think, and who might be available at that pick, is completely different from just evaluating individual talent.

Yea, a lot of mocks look at the first 5-10 picks in great detail, and then the big name teams picking late in the first round, and just apply random players with decent reputations to the 10-25 picks. from what ive seen anyway

Safe to say when healthy simmons is day one starter, Brown is too, maybe davis, and walker for sure he is better than anyone we have other than landry love cameron but he is 37

Walker will be part of a rotation this year. He will be competing more with finch and Correa to spell Landry and wake.

Davis could be a day 1 starter. We shall see. He will compete at C and G I think.

Brown will have to beat out Taylor. He should, and will, how quickly is the question.

Simmons will be a starter and a stud when he gets back.

Hooker is depth and dime package guy.

Other LB is special teams fodder if he makes the team.

When I watch this kids games I see him make 1 play a game and get his lunch money taken the other 40 snaps...

I'm upset fans I like to talk to are excited by this pick. It Makes you wonder

I guess that Jayon Brown pick has people fooled into thinking all our 5th rd picks will be good.

Brown at least had the tape to match the optimism coming out
 
Realistically...

Walker will probably see a fair share of rotational snaps this year. Will probably make a few splash plays along the way. It will look like we have another Jayon Brown situation. People will be calling for him to get more playing time. Then, next year, we will draft or acquire a stud edge rusher and he will get bumped down the depth chart.
This is still an A+ pick for 5th round value to the team this year.

As a UGA fan and watching Walker over his career he definitely has potential but seems to disappear for long periods of time.

I think grabbing him in the 5th is pretty good value though and whether he pans out or not I wouldn't be surprised either way.

I think many are just excited we finally took a pass rusher
