Great movie! Plus, he's a Titan's fan.Has anyone seen the independent film "Moon"? What are your thoughts?
2/10? Wow.Hail, Caesar - 2/10
Well that fell completely flat... Worst Coen Brothers movie I've seen. Total waste of time and money.
Trailer had me fooled. It's a shame because if they went a different route it could've been really good with this strong cast.
2/10? Wow.
How it received good reviews, I'll never know. I'm firmly aware of the type of humor they were aiming for. And it did work at times, but it was so ridiculous and all over the place that I had no clue what I was watching. I never once was intrigued.
I love the Coen Brothers... And maybe that's why the critics shied away from giving this poor reviews, but this was far and away their worst work IMO.
It felt a lot more like some Wes Anderson crap to me.
Watched Creed tonight. Awesome. Definitely one of my favorites from 2015.
I suppose I can see where you're coming from but that's not how it came off for me. He was definitely a dick at times but I bought the character's actions as genuine given his past and where he is currently in his life. I do agree that Stallone totally stole the thunder but the Creed character wasn't unlikable by any stretch imo.My only problem with that movie was that Creed was a *****. I like Michael B Jordan and he usually delivers but in this film they never allowed him to be a sympathetic character. Charmless.
Stallone takes all that thunder, meanwhile Creed never seems to be more than a punk who seems entitled throughout..
I don't think they get a pass just for being the Coen brothers. Ladykillers was not well received at all IIRC.I love the Coen Brothers... And maybe that's why the critics shied away from giving this poor reviews, but this was far and away their worst work IMO

The beats of the story could all be seen coming a mile away yet it all worked so wonderfully. I think I'd put this right behind Ex Machina as my favorite from last year. There are still a few I need to see though.

Finally saw Cloverfield after all this time. I thought it was pretty solid. Probably would've enjoyed it even more if I had seen it when it originally came out. At this point I am so over the whole found footage thing.
I was into Cloverfield all the way up till the camera dude got eaten by the creature and you could hear his bones crunching and chit. At that point I was ready for the movie to be over with. Finally saw Cloverfield after all this time. I thought it was pretty solid.
