After games like today? Sign him. They need to start talks with Henry too.
This is different than those situations though. He's already here, playing in this system with these players. The situations you suggested, brought the QB in with no insight on how they'd perform in that offense.i wouldn't do a monster deal with over 3 years if i'm honest, keep him hungry.. seen way too many of these scenarios where QB destroys it in contract year then folds like a Haynesworth after signing
the Jags are a testament to this w/Foles
Broncos w/Osweiler
That would be nice, but I don’t see many people banging on the door wanting Davis. Bad, bad draft pick.Someone’s gonna pay Sharpe to be a #2 instead of a #4. Dude is a natural chain mover and as reliable as they come.
Honestly, if we could get a 2nd for Corey Davis right now I’d take it and resign Sharpe.
Did I miss something Is Conklin playing much better? Seems like people went from thinking he was trash to wanting to re-sign him? Our line has been so bad this season I have a hard time watching just one player so I’m just curious.
Henry certainly can make a case for resetting the market, but I hope he doesnt cost us $15M/yr
Lewan has been making people look stupid the last 3-4 weeks. And the penalties have stoped in the last few weeks as well. There have been some plays he didn't just beat him guy he ran him off the field. Hell on one run 2 the right he took his guy and pushed him all the way past the play on the right side of the field. That is some Ohr in the movie level dominationConklin has been great at pass blocking this season and roughly average at run blocking. He's the very definition of a solid starter and should get better the further removed from injury that he gets. Ju'Wuan James is a pretty good comp for him and he got 4/51 last off-season. I'd assume Conklin will receive a similar contract. I'd hope if we can resign him, but I won't hold my breath seeing as we declined a 5th year option for 12.86 million.
Honestly, Lewan has been the bigger issue on the line as he's getting beat more often than ever before and is averaging over 1 penalty/game.
Lewan has been awesome these past few weeks since the Chiefs game. Hell, he was even dominant in that game, but had a boneheaded penalty and a terrible holding call the refs made on him.Lewan has been making people look stupid the last 3-4 weeks. Hate to say it but I think it is more due to coming of steroids and losing that extra strength. After cleaning out and seeing he lost too much, he adjusted his program so he doesnt get caught. He's gotten better for sure, and I'm not really too worried about him, but overall it's the worst year he's had as a pro. Could just be rust from missing the 1st 4 games.
One thing of importance I believe, since Butler and Adoree went down, Logan Ryan’s weaknesses as a CB have really been put on display. He is no cover corner.
While he is a very smart player and is excellent when used as a versatile piece of the defense, roving centerfield ball hawk or pass rusher for instance, he has looked rather poor in man coverage on the outside. He has great instincts, but just doesn’t have the aggressiveness of Butler or the speed of Adoree. I can’t help but think his price in the off-season has decreased over the past 4 weeks.
