"RBs are a dime a dozen!"

Sankey, Ringer, Harper, Chris Henry, Andrews, Lendale, Lewis, McCluster, Dawkins, Muhammad, etc ... they all say "Hi"

We have had a few serviceable guys for 1-2 years in Travis Henry, Chris brown, lendale White and demarco Murray since Eddie G. Each 1 had at least 1 1K season.

Some of it does have to do with use.

Henry is a stud, we gotta keep him. He’s a big part of our physical identity, and he has a knack for the end zone. He is also fast in open space. I do think we need a complement back, one cut kinda guy, and dump Dion Lewis...But there is no doubt the dude is good.

Ok so I was playing with the numbers, if we cut Wake, Lewis, and Walker our cap goes up to $53M in 2020

plenty there to keep Henry, Tanny, and Conk if we want
We need to re-sign Logan Ryan too. Draft a RT.

I'm not so sure. I think he well on the backside of his career and he progressed it with that stupid ass vegan diet.
Being vegan is dumb as hell. You aren't saving the poor cows and chickens. If everyone stopped eating meat, cows and chickens wouldn't be in existence in america.

Every agent looking for a payday is going to be comparing their client to Elliott, and as of right now, Henry is outperforming Elliott. It may not be as big as the Elliott contract, but it will be in the neighborhood if he finished this season strong.

Honestly, I’d rather Henry get a top contract after watching him for four seasons than for Tannehill to get a big contract after a half season. We know what we get with Henry. Nothing against Tannehill. I really like what I see. But I see it as the bigger risk when it comes to the cap. I’d like to see us keep both, but if you had to choose one...
Ummm

Ya so

Tanny had more years as a good qb than henry does as rb

When you are a run heavy offense with a bad RB it looks real bad, but that's not the way to win in the league today. We should be building to pass and stop the pass.

The Titans were much better before the PI rules got stricter around 2010. That was the point when pass heavy became the way to go.

I do understand what you’re saying, but we still see a ‘somewhat’ parallel between teams that top the league in rushing and teams that make the playoffs. The league is obviously more focused on the passing game with rule changes but it doesn’t somehow make your team better to not have a functioning run game.

And I'll make the argument that you see that parallel bc when those top teams are winning they run the ball to eat clock. Which is why their rushing numbers look so good.

And if we build the OLine and passing attack it takes pressure off the run game and makes it easier to run the ball, even without paying top dollar for an RB.

Also, none of these highly paid RBs are resulting in better outcomes for their teams either. Gurley, Zeke, Bell.... teams would be better off spending that money elsewhere.

Are y'all totally forgetting CJ2K?! Wtf?

I LOVE Ryan, but solid tackles are hard to find. I'd have to go Conk over Ryan as long as he's getting moderate right tackle money, not stupid left tackle money.

We already have two big ticket items in the secondary, a third might be pushing it.

No, drafted him and was easily more than just a dime a dozen.

However, he does present an excellent case for why no team should overpay for RB. CJ2K made a serious downturn after his payday.

I would argue with CJ2K we didn't have a typical running game. He was a home run hitter and tried to break a long one on every carry. He often lost yardage and or had no gain on carries. Not taking anything away from him, HE WAS the fastest RB I have ever seen and given just a crack could go the distance on any play....but, as I have stated, his style and approach made for lots of 2nd and 3rd and longs.

I’ve always said Casey is overrated. He’s good, but people have always boosted him to be a star in this league and he never really has been. Solid? Yes. Superstar? No
Haha, yet he’s gone to multiple pro bowls and ranks in the top ten at his position in PFF grade every year. Run stopping beast. Gets to the QB often. Occupies multiple guys to free up space for blitzers. Have you not been watching the games?! No Donald or Mack obviously, but definitely in the next tier.
