Add to it... all those yards on a team that has the NFL Rushing Leader.

THAT'S impressive.

1000 yd WR > 1000 yd RB.... especially as a rookie!
Absolutely harder to reach as a WR than RB, especially focal point RB.

Factor in yards after contact, big plays, and ultimately wins due to his play and Brown is the easy choice.

I had someone (Eagles fan) try to sell me Miles Sanders has a chance. 700 rushing/500 receiving. I think he’s below Jacobs, maybe even Murray.

AJ Brown #s among rookies:

-Catches: 52 (5th)
-Yards: 1,051 (1st)
-Avg. YPC: 20.2 (1st among qualifiers)
-TD catches: 8 (Tied 1st)
-40-plus yard catches: 8 (1st)
-1st-down catches: 39 (T-2nd)
-1st-down pctg. of catches: 75% (1st among qualifiers)

I'll be calling him "Roy" Brown this entire off-season regardless if he wins or not.

He's doing things I've never seen a Titans WR do.

Did Murray do anything worthwhile this season? And wasn't Jacobs injured for awhile?

Murray is the top rookie QB with over 3700 yards and 20 TDs, and Jacobs is the top rookie RB with 1150 yards rushing and 7 TDs. Then AJ Brown is the top WR with over 1000 yards receiving and 8 TDs.

Like I said, Brown has a great argument for ROY, but voters tend to look at the positions of QB and RB more favorably, and both of those guys were higher picks in the draft and tend to get more attention. I just doubt Brown wins it. But he certainly deserves it.

Carrying a team to the playoffs should count more

I’d agree more for MVP but ROY usually doesn’t matter.

That said, a winning record because of said player should count which is why I think Murray should not win. Jacobs was at least on a team on the playoff cusp.

I don’t know all the history of rookie stats but I would imagine it is much more rare to have a WR go over 1000 yds than a RB do what Jacobs did or a QB put up the numbers of Murray

Brown had 9 TDs this season including his rushing TD...Jacobs only had 7 of course Murray had a ton more but he touched the ball every snap...

Brown has had a remarkable year the other guys just avg

I posted it earlier in this thread, but brown is the #23 ever rookie WR w/ 1000.

There have been 69 rookie RB to reach 1000. 7 have reached 1500.
Titans/oilers have 3, Campbell, George, and CJ
Rodney Thomas was close at 947.
