Absolutely harder to reach as a WR than RB, especially focal point RB.1000 yd WR > 1000 yd RB.... especially as a rookie!
Dudes practically in the Titans HOF already.I'll be calling him "Roy" Brown this entire off-season regardless if he wins or not.
He's doing things I've never seen a Titans WR do.
Did Murray do anything worthwhile this season? And wasn't Jacobs injured for awhile?
Carrying a team to the playoffs should count moreMurray is the top rookie QB with over 3700 yards and 20 TDs, and Jacobs is the top rookie RB with 1150 yards rushing and 7 TDs. Then AJ Brown is the top WR with over 1000 yards receiving and 8 TDs.
Like I said, Brown has a great argument for ROY, but voters tend to look at the positions of QB and RB more favorably, and both of those guys were higher picks in the draft and tend to get more attention. I just doubt Brown wins it. But he certainly deserves it.
I’d agree more for MVP but ROY usually doesn’t matter.Carrying a team to the playoffs should count more
I posted it earlier in this thread, but brown is the #23 ever rookie WR w/ 1000.I don’t know all the history of rookie stats but I would imagine it is much more rare to have a WR go over 1000 yds than a RB do what Jacobs did or a QB put up the numbers of Murray. Edit: his 1051 ties for 15th highest rookie WR yards.
Brown had 9 TDs this season including his rushing TD...Jacobs only had 7 of course Murray had a ton more but he touched the ball every snap...
Brown has had a remarkable year the other guys just avg
I agree Jacobs is the wrong call but as consolation brown isn’t sitting on his couch. I bet he’d prefer that if presented with the choice.
Offensive Rookie of the Year*
