Henry has enough size to be a decent Tight End if it turns out he can't cut it from behind the QB. He reportedly runs decent routes, has good hands and he blocks well.Jesus...easy on me guys lol. I do agree there are some good ones...but Lacy had his weight issues, Inghram took some time, and Yeldon is a question mark even though he had a descent year. T rich was hands down the worst...Still is. I think Henry will be nasty personally, If we give him the space. I'm looking forward to our run game for the first time in forever. I just pray our line can do the job. I liked the Henry pick then, and now.
RB turned TE huh.. Has that ever been done at the pro level?H

And we have Delanie to mentor him.
Only a bunch of times.RB turned TE huh.. Has that ever been done at the pro level?

I suppose there should be a timeline added to when (if a curse actually exists) it started. Alexander was in 2000 and if that was a curse, sign me up.Huh??
Outside of Lacy almost every one of them have been bad to mediocre at best... and Lacy is still on the bubble.

With the list dating back to 2000, Yeldon, Lacy, Richardson, Ingram, Coffee, Le'Ron McClain, and then Shaun Alexander, I would argue that Henry should be good for one good season at least. All these guys had at least one pretty solid season except Coffee who retired after one season.
I didn't bother doing research prior to 2000. I guess I felt that list was enough to prove the point but I agree with you, that only Richardson was a complete waste and even he had one good season.Coffee hurt his knee so we can't judge how good he would have been. You can go back further to Derrick Lassik who was a solid backup for Emmitt Smith in Dallas or even further back to Bobby Humphrey who was having a fine career until injuries hit.
Other than Richardson there are no total busts in that list. The haters always dwell on that one guy. Every anti Bama poster or moron talking head will bring Richardson up as if he is typical when he is not.
It's the same idiots like Clay Travis and Colin Cowherd who said Bama was done after the Ole Miss loss. Where they right?
Take Eddie George circa 1996. Add 10 pounds to his frame. Make him at least a step faster and then draft him a full round later. What moron, what idiot would call that a bad pick? What sucking communist pos moron would think that?
Hmmmmmmmmm.

Not all that impressive but Ingram is good for about 800 total yards and 5 TD in a dual back field. With today's RB by committee offenses, that seems fairly productive. I think Henry is a different style and I want to see his hands/routes in games to see if he becomes a receiving threat also.More talking the current era since 'Bama has been good again.
Nothing but overhyped mediocre backs have come out of that system.
Other than Lacy, who can actually play. The rest? Nothing to see.
And even Lacy is struggling.
And I'd take Richardson over Henry - a sure-fire bust. That's how bad I think Henry is.
