Floyd Reese was also in the room and told them NOT to draft Gronk because of the back surgery. JROB said DO draft him. The rest is history.
Ya keep the elite dudes at the cost of the average Joe’s. Clearly, JR hasn’t felt his 1st rounders so far were elite. Me neither. Simmons has promise for sure.
That’s the point. You would cut some average Joe’s to afford the elite player. If he is elite he gets paid like an elite player, not an average Joe.
Again, ideally yes. But a lot of other factors to consider. That’s the point. You would cut some average Joe’s to afford the elite player.

No, the better question is why do women have a “pair” of panties but only “a” bra? Seems like it would be a “pair” of bra.It isn't that simple. Most of our "average joes" are still valuable players. So you're making large holes in other areas to retain 1 elite player. Depending on the player and the roster situation and the position he plays, maybe that's the right call. So the question is, is it better to have 2-3 above average starters or one elite starter.

I like the pick...fills a need and I would think his past playing QB and WR has to help at the CB positionI heard he ran for 2500 yards... as a QB. I can believe it after watching this.
