Yes that stinks for the Titans because I didn't want him anyway, but was hoping some team would draft him ahead of us which would push someone else down the board.

If you're talking straight talent, when both are 100% healthy then Simmons is better.As a Miss fan, when healthy would you rather have EDGE Sweat or the DT Simmons? Who was more dominant when healthy. Reading the draft profiles it seems Simmons was unstoppable while Sweat didnt play up to his athleticism... i never watched a Miss game so id appreciate your insight

However, I was taking into account a lot of things in my original post, not the least of which is Simmons ACL. He may have to sit out this entire year and though I would love it if we picked him, not getting any help from your 1st round pick this season wouldn't be great.
Another thing to think about is how much did they help each other? If teams doubled Simmons, that freed up Sweat and vice versa. It was nice having both of them because teams had to pick their poison. Would love to have a similar situation with the Titans.
Also, this is just my opinion, but I think there are less impactful edge rushers than DTs in this draft, which makes them more valuable. You can get a guy like Renell Wren or Trysten Hill in the 3rd or 4th round and I don't think that drop off is nearly as big as it would be with the edge players you'd be picking at that same time.
One last thing - I had forgotten about Sweat's heart condition. I've heard that some teams have taken him off their board completely because that scares them so much. It's a shame, because watching him I haven't seen any impact to his game whatsoever. Maybe he will drop to us if that's the case!

I've said for a long time that Hockenson will go between 9-13, but when you actually mock it out it's really hard to justify picking him before 19.

I think he's going 2nd round though, early 3rd at the latest. Not sure we take a RB that early, but I agree, the dude is lightning on the field and would give us a great complement to Henry.I’d be fine getting Henderson in the mid rounds...We need a complement to Henry. Especially if he goes down. Lord help us if so, Lewis couldn’t handle that load.
I think it has to be defense. With the focus on the run game offensively, a dominant D is essential.
The biggest issue last season was getting pressure without blitzing. I think it'll be Wilkins if he's there.
I think he's versatile and has the tools to become a player who will command attention while giving Casey and the LBs more opportunities. I've dreamed for seasons that the Titans could get someone who could push the middle. I think Pees would get the most out of him and he's the kind of player JRob covets.
