Ok. Fair enough. I just don't know why everyone thinks that if Tanny is clearly better in a given moment, due to injury or whatever, they won't play him. If that's true, it's coaching malpractice.
 
Of course Vrabel likes him as a person (he’s a good kid with heart) and of course he likes him as a player. (What do you expect him to say—he’s the starter, and Mary can be electric). This all comes down to Mariota capitalizing and staying healthy. If he doesn’t, it’s a big problem. They have invested way too much for mediocre return. I think we are in a great spot honestly. It’s missionary mary’s Job unless he gives it away......
 
Bet ya ass if Mariota sucking it up our out for a bit and Tannehill gets hot, they will ride him out though....

Coaches with top end QBs never even get asked the question.

This is like when the owner gives a "vote of confidence" to a coach. Sometimes they still get Canned a week later.
 
I'm not sure why anyone is against Tannehill. Mariota being a franchise QB is much more of a pipe dream than Tannehill being a reasonably good starter.

Because 1 just got fired and 1 has the full support of the team and franchise to be the guy.

Let's just play a hypothetical. Let's pretend for a moment that Vrabel does not believe Marcus is the answer at QB.

Do you really think, that when asked about it in may, he is going to create a firestorm of a controversy in his locker room by saying so?

Of course he isn't. He's not a moron. He said the only answer that is possible under the circumstances. It doesn't tell us a single thing.

But from everything we've heard Mary is expected to be the guy
 
I know you don't want to hear it, but it's unanimous that Tannehill looked better, from all sources who would make such a claim . From Davenport's tone, it really wasn't that close and he doesn't expect that to change at any point during this off-season. Kind of what I've been saying all along.

I was clear in my post. Some men mean what they say.

To think they brought in Tanny to start over Mariota is EXACTLY what Vrabel said they didn’t do. Exactly.

Don’t know why that’s hard when he was so clear. Marcus has led us to consecutive winning seasons. Vrabel isn’t a fickle fan like some of yous

I call BS. No one has done anything to even legit make the comparison between the two with this team.
So far QBs have worn red jerseys and played 7 on 7 or less.

That's kind of the point. A starting QB shouldn't miss routine throws against air, which is essentially the situation that they are in now. You definitely can make a comparison between the two in the scenario
