What preseason games were they watching? The Titans line looked like garbage and they have them ranked 4th best!
I'd have to disagree that it's a bad stat. It removes the variable of volume, so you can compare receivers based on how many touchdowns they're getting per reception rather than just comparing total numbers.
If our receivers catch half as many TD's as the number 1 offense, but are doing it on 1/3 fewer catches, that means they're being less productive with each catch than their peers.
Marcus' TD/attempt stat is abysmal for the past two years too. So not only does he throw less than other QB's, he's less effective when he does.

It was based on grades for the preseason, so not opinion based, just the best grades by team.Maybe when Lewan is back, and Saffold is in last year's mid-season form, Jones plays like he did in his first year as a Titan, Pamphile makes a solid showing and Conklin gets back to that All-Pro form? But based on pre-season...Kelly hasn't been up to par from his late season performance, Saffold hasn't looked good, Jones has been inconsistent, Pamphile was so good they left the competition open another week and he won by default, and Conklin has been solid. Not what I'd call the 4th best OL based on the pre-season. Based on the pre-season and that Lewan is missing the first quarter of the season, hard to rate us better than avg...at best based on what we've shown. It's easier to argue we've shown below avg so far in pre-season. Our qb's have been harassed quite a bit and not just Mariota.
But it'll be what it's gonna be. Doesn't matter where they are ranked, only how well they play!

Their grading is open to debate, but I think their grade confirmed what we saw in Conklin, he was back to full form and had a fantastic preseason.
Conklin is the perfect example of why I'm glad we aren't pushing Simmons to play this year. Just because you're medically cleared, doesn't mean you'll be the same player. Conk was not himself last year, but it's clear now how much that injury limited him.I was being a bit sarcastic...mainly because based on the pre-season, Saffold didn't play well, Kelly was inconsistent, Pamphil and Douglas weren't good, neither was Jones, but Conklin looked good! I know it’s tough to gauge in type, but I was actually being sarcastic. I like this thread despite the PFF issues and that particular stat is just kind of sad because it takes the titans 2 seasons to reach goals that half the league reaches in less than 1.Some people aren’t aware of certain stats regarding the players or the team. I’m not going to not post stats because a few people on this board already know it. Good or bad I’m going to share it and if some people already know it than feel free to ignore the post and carry on.
