This is fun:

CB grades through week 5 -

14. Adoree Jackson - 75.1
21. Logan Ryan - 70.0
57. Malcolm Butler - 63.3
68. Jalen Ramsey - 60.5 (same as Coty Sensebaugh!)

Love seeing the passing D has greatly improved but the run D has fallen off sharply. If they can figure out how to stop the run again, that would be great.

Today, I stumbled on a site called nextgenstats.nfl.com and saw some interesting stuff.

You can click on a game and see the average separation in yards of each receiver on any pass they were targeted and I was surprised at the numbers.

In the Bills game, Taylor had 3.37 yards of separation, Smith had 3.29 yards and Davis had 3.13 yards.

Note the league average is 2.79 yards.

Go back to Philly and Sharpe had 5.84, Taylor 3.69, Jennings 3.58 and Davis 3.34.

Even against the stout Jags secondary, Taylor is at 3.86. Only Davis was lower than the league average in that game.

Draw your own conclusions but Marcus is seeing bigger windows than most QBs in the league. He’s either not getting the ball out fast enough, is accurate enough or is getting more than his share of drops. I suspect it’s a combination of the three.

The bright side is that it appears the Titans receivers are getting open and Marcus seems to be making the right reads. If Marcus can improve, and get more help from the receivers, the passing yards should come.

Through 5 weeks Titans are tied for 3rd least Qb hits allowed at 17.

Ravens have allowed 28.

Most qb hits produced by the defense

Titans tied for 6th with 31
Ravens are tied for 5th with 32

The Titans have allowed opponents to score touchdowns on just 23.1 percent of red zone possessions, the best mark in the NFL

Opponents have gotten inside the 20-yard line against the Titans 13 times this season but have only scored touchdowns on five of those occasions.

The Titans’ defense have held opponents to 5.9 passing yards per game this season, the fifth fewest in the NFL.

This is my worry about Marcus. Philadelphia didn't box him in or cover his receivers. Nobody doubts him in these situations. It's when anticipation and ball placement is crucial to the catch that he is extremely inconsistent.

Our receiving group aren't reliable pass catchers on a down to down basis, but they can get open and most of them are quite good after the catch. Give them enough opportunities, and the mistakes won't be as drastic.

I'm watching the Browns, and those receivers aren't getting open, guys like Callaway and Njoku can't catch, but Baker is throwing for 300 yards because he's giving them a chance.

The Titans have 8 plays in the passing game over 20 yards... Corey Davis is responsible for 6 of them.TE Luke Stocker and safety Dane Cruikshank have the others.

wow. 20 yards is not a huge play.
Good job Corey Davis I guess but there are zero offensive stat categories I want to see Cruikshank a potential leader in.

All-22 Review: Titans offense lets one slip away

He didn't pull the trigger on a few this game. That doesn't mean that we actually would have caught the ball, had he done so.

update - we are near the bottom in every category statistically outside of a few. i don’t think we have a single player in the top 50 of any league leaders stats besides the obvious tackles stat.

Really lookin forward to seeing the screen grabs of stats TF posts this week. Just to rattle my brain further
