Wait and see how he plays at Alabama next year.

Good chance he stays. Fromm seems like the kind that might stay. Eason might stay and try to be a top 2 QB next year.

Draft could end up super thin at QB.

Tua would be a fool to stay. And the others are not staying either. They are all first round draft picks because the need for qb is so high in the league. I bet everyone of them leaves.

Don't think anyone will need a QB next year?

Herbert came back this year. There are always going to people that want to work on something, want to win in college, or just like college.

Not saying they'll stay, just saying don't assume any highly regarded draft eligible player is coming out.

@SalmonSlayer You still down on Herbert? So far three very big games and he has shown up and played very well. Just curious.
@Titanoiler51 season is done. I think Sherbert proved what I have been saying prior to the season starting. Yup, he's not good. He's at best a poor man's Josh Allen. The guy sucks, makes his decision where he is passing prior to the snap and locks in on the one read. Any GM that takes him on the first day will be sorry.

So far, I still like Eason better than the rest. He will need a year of development, but I think he has the most talent over everyone. Amazing arm strength and can make ALL the throws.

Tua = injury prone and I feel like he is playing within a superior system and talent, which makes him look better than he is.

Burrow = Love almost everything about him, but seems like he has below average arm strength.

Hebert = System QB that makes 1 read.

Fromm = SUPER Meh!

I haven't been high on an Alabama quarterback in years because of their system. Their QBs are never asked to do much and surrounded by superior talent. But Tua is the best QB they've had since before I can remember. He could easily be a franchise NFL QB.

The injuries are big red flag though...

With Tannehills historic play, id say draft a qb late if a true prospect was available and develop him under Tanny

No need to draft a QB before the 5th at this point. If we are going all in on RT and BDH for a window to win a superb owl, those first 4 picks need to be impact players and the backup QB should be a vet.

I think almost everyone agrees with you.

This thread should probably be locked. It was made in late September, before the Tanny train got rolling.

Tua’s a lefty. That spells bad news for his chances in the NFL.

People do not realise it does make a difference. Lefties can make it, and have, but it is something they need to overcome. NFL offences are built around the QB being right handed, with the strong side on the right and the blind side on the left.

Additionally, receivers have to adjust. The ball spins the opposite way and, as such, on medium to long passes the ball breaks in the opposite direction.

None of this is huge, it is not like trying to play baseball with left handed infielders, but it is something that needs to be compensated for.

You mean Steve Young is the exception and he had Jerry Rice.

There are a few others, Boomer Esaison (sp) was solid. So was Jim Zorn. Mike Vick was good but he could run.
Eh, arguable on Vick and Zorn but ya Esiason was good. The think zorn also got some of that Steve largent action so again we’re talking about having the greatest WR of all time.

NFLN did a top 10 Lefty QBs, which was pretty mean to Scott Mitchell lol.

They had him number 10, then number 9 was everyone else who did not make 1-8.

This is a different one

I do not agree with number 6

You do realize that left handed QBs are really rare to begin with, right? Kids that can throw and are left handed are automatically pushed to pitch.
