To the OP’s post they had the head of the Nashville Sports Council on TV talking about that very thing, even referencing the stadium in Miami and he said it was time for renovation and that they would like to host a SB by 2030.

Would be very cool.

i think they should build out from the west side of the stadium towards the river....expanding Club level stuff and making a sports/entertainment/hotel area....similar to KC live, Texas Live or St. Louis Live...on stadium side of river....even a Riverwalk sort of thing

certainly could make improvements in the end zone areas and their is room to expand out and up from their too....probably more suite areas or a standing room only area like the Cowboys have

I guess the options are:

Resign the two key players that led us to a 9-3 record when playing together with a top 10 offense for the first time in years, including back to back playoff wins

Or..

Gamble on some FAs or high draft pick who could end up being the next Bishop Sankey & Vince Young / Locker / Mariota... while watching Henry run for 1400+ yards and 15+ TDs elsewhere next year.

I know what I choose.

But think of the money we'd save!

I don't think Mariota and Vince were complete bust, they gave us some good games and wins. Now guys like locker and Mett on the other hand were dreadful. Mett way more than locker

I dont hold anything against Mett, dont even consider him a bust. He was a 7th rounder or something else. He would be lucky to make a team. The fact we found ourselves in a position where we were playing Mett speaks about how bad things were.

uuuuhhhh... only 4 Ws 'in this town'

just sayin'

yeah team dropped a big steamy deuce against the Texans in front of a charged up home crowd. Win THAT game and we’d of had a home playoff game.

When Matt Ryan signed his 30 mil/yr contract two years ago at age 31 (like Tanny) but after a decade of pro bowl play with a recent league MVP award, his actual cap numbers look like this:
Year
1- 17.7 mil
2- 15.8 mil
3- 24.1 mil
4- 39.1 mil
5- 39.4 mil
6- 34.5 mil

Tanny won’t even get that after only half a season of stellar play. His cap hit will be under 22 mil next year with a club option after year 2. Bank it.

6th rounder, and yah, no one taken that late can be considered a bust

But then we don’t go into New England and smash the Pats . That was serious stuff.

There's 0 chance Tannehill signs for 22M. He'd get more on the open market from a QB hungry team. I'd be thrilled if they could get him to agree to 3x25 I think.

We need to remember that we were stopped short of our goal of winning the Superbowl. Reassembling the same players is not a recipe for changing that outcome. We need J Rob to continue his work to build and improve this team to make the next step. He has shown us he is on right track. Have some faith.

Very well put

We dont want to show up exactly the same as we were. It only got us so far. But we need to keep the core of guys

I will guarantee you that if we sign him to a new long term (3 years or more) contract that his cap hit will be under 22mil next year.

Sure, but that is not the average per year. His average per year is what the OP was talking about. GMs can play with those numbers in a ton of ways.
