That would be a OLB
People were saying that about Manziel...and look how that worked out. You can't tank in this league, especially if you have a good team. We have the talent to be a playoff team if people play up to their potential...and the goal during the regular season is to make it into the playoffs. Then you have a chance!!!
Lots of people thought back when he won the Heisman that by the time he left for the NFL he would be the next great qb! I don't get that excited by flash in the pan qb's and one reason why guys like Parcells always wanted qb's who had a lot of college starts.
Who exactly? Certainly not most draft experts, which is why he wasn't drafted in the top 10.
Did you even read the article? It’s says nothing of Manziel being the next great thing. It just says some experts believed him to be the best QB in that draft. A draft with Bortles and Bridgewater. They aren't hard to find...and this article was even the year he was drafted. Just google if you're curious.

Yeah, I read your posts. You said “lots of people were saying [Johnny Football] would be the next great QB.” You werent arguing that people thought he would go #1 in the draft. You changed your argument.LOL! I wouldn't post an article I hadn't read! LOL!
Did you see the graphic in the article that Manziel was rated the #1 PLAYER on the board?
Did you even read my post?
I mentioned people were thinking the same way about Manziel after he won his Heisman pretty young. He got a lot of hype.
CARP said he didn't think any 'experts' were high on him because he didn't go in the top 10.
So I posted an article that Kiper (not in response to my first and most relevant point) thought he was not only the best QB, but rated as the BEST PLAYER in the draft...one that included Kahlil Mack and Jadaveon Clowney.
Point is, it is way too early to know what Lawrence is gonna be by the time he gets drafted. He had an excellent year and people thought Deshaun Watson would go be a top pick by the time he got drafted. He wasn't either.

C'mon, man! No one equates being the highest ranked player in one draft to being the next great QB. The last QB that was a sure thing was Andrew Luck. Just admit that you said something dumb, then changed your argument and move on.Yes...people were at the time I mentioned. You want to waste time arguing about Manziel in college...I'll let you spend time looking up Johnny Football articles.
But the fact that one of the 'experts' ranked him the highest graded player on his draft board should give you a clue that even after coming off his highest perception of qb greatness, he still was the highest graded player at any position by one of the 'experts.'
Again, the POINT is...whether it's Manziel or any other college QB who has success very early...they get projected to unrealistic highs early on and they rarely make it that high...and frequently...get worse. Winston is another good example. Did he maintain his highest college level by the time he came out? I'd argue no. Christian Ponder? No. You get the idea.
Nah man, Manziel was a sure thing!Yeah, I read your posts. You said “lots of people were saying [Johnny Football] would be the next great QB.” You werent arguing that people thought he would go #1 in the draft. You changed your argument.

You clearly are here to argue for argument sake.LOL! Are you suggesting the guy predicted to be the top player in the draft is not considered to be a great prospect? He is rated ahead of several other GREAT prospects at their position. You don't rate a BAD QB over a GREAT PASS RUISHER OR LT???
I explained my point, but you don't care...you just want to argue. I'm not hear to argue for argument's sake about someone who's not a Titan and will never be a Titan. If you disagree with my point, feel free to disagree and state clearly that YOU think we should tank for two years because you've decided Lawrence is the next great QB. If not, let it go.
