How fast did Gronk run? TE is more about “feel”. It’s way more important for a TE to understand where to be than a 40 time.

Jonnu Smith might be the fastest TE in the league but he doesn’t understand settling in holes or veering away from safeties/LBs in the seams.

I’ll take a Dallas Clark type 100x over than a Jonnu Smith athlete.

Gronk ran a 4.68 at his pro day. Hock ran a 4.70 at the combine. Hock beats pretty much every other athletic (not size) measurement, but Gronk is also 2 inches taller and 7lbs heavier.

I think he's a closer comparison to Johnnu athletically save the top end speed (Smith ran a 4.62 to Hock's 4.7). In terms of size and athleticism, they are close, but Hockenson is a GREAT blocker.

Fant is an Evan Ingram type. Most compare him to Kelce but Kelce has turned himself into a pretty decent blocker....just like Walker did.

To be fair, Hockenson kept up with Fant because Hockenson started and Fant was the #2. But both are very good in the passing game. Hockenson knows how to get open. Fant is more the athletic mismatch guy who will need to learn how to block. Hockenson will be ready day 1 AND be an asset in the run game....not just the pass game.

Yep. If we are looking at TE, it’s Hock without a doubt. He fits everything Titan stands for. Fant is athletic, but Hock is the full package. If Hock it bradbury land at 19, it will be hard for them to look away with the depth at DL/Edge in this draft.

So fugly.

Ben Jones has had one good year and then been trash since. If Bradbury is at 19 and JR thinks he's the real deal, that's my pick. It's not sexy, but it's a position that needs to be fixed no matter who the QB is. It provides a better opportunity of Mariota staying healthy, and will help a rookie QB if they go that route in 2020. Of course it helps the run game too. Ask Luck how he feels about his team going OC and OG in the first round recently. I bet he's happy about it.

Round 2 I go EDGE or IDL, whoever BPA is.

Deebo Samuel and Jalen Hurd visiting.
Jalen Hurd?

Deebo Samuel and Jalen Hurd visiting.
I'm a UT fan and it would be hard for me to pull for Hurd. I've purposely not watched any of his Baylor film just because.

All that to say, from what I saw of him (most of the time) at UT, he had some skill. I know he wants to be a WR, but with his body type, I think his best position could be TE. He obviously has learned to catch the ball well, plus when he was playing RB he was a good blocker when picking up the blitz. Why not combine the two and put him at a position of semi-need and see how it goes? If it doesn't work, it was only a 6th or 7th rounder. However, this is the only scenario where I'd want him. I just don't see him as a WR.

I am from SC and watch the Gamecocks. This guy is shifty as heck. Could be fun to watch.
I've watched a lot of him too and I agree. He'd be perfect here. Plus he could return and let Adoree concentrate on CB. I think Deebo has 4 or 5 returns for TDs in his career.
