Saw it up close in person last year. It was an awesome sight. Seeing stuff that has stood for hundreds of years and as recognized as that is was cool.
Shame to see it go down. Really hope to not see this as a sabotage thing but I know security at a few other tourist places were pretty lenient despite the M16 police walking around.
I was in Zurich last week and got to see the Chagall windows, this stuff just kind of puts it in perspective.

how it survived from 1914-1950 is just unreal.
i think it goes to show just how well respected history is/was to many leaders throughout the years. shame to see it go just based on an accident.
