what exactly kind of renovation makes a spire explode? i doubt that is the cause

yeah i'm just saying, what kind of roof repair is going to cause that kind of fire to start? i obviously don't work in construction, i just fail to see the type of equipment used on those repairs causing a fire

I used to be a roofing contractor.




My guess would be, if that's the case, it was a flat piece of roof that uses flamable bonding material.

It could also be tar roofing which is also flammable


Edit: looks like it's mostly sloped which would be shingles of some sort. Still possible depending on what stage they were in as far as roofing

Most construction = power tools

Power tools = sparks

I Hope Quasimodo made it out alright.

fire was prob started so catholic church could get that insurance money to help pay off these lawsuits

You also probably have people using torches. Apparently the work was on the lead in the spire.

There are dozens of construction items that could cause that fire.
